It is not me saying you are 'wrong' - trading standards themselves, and of course I don't think they employ neither poets nor gunmen holding guns to compile all these trade literature to bring all people under a trade law!

Check this link :
http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/navless/cedric/cedric.asp?itemID=181268
And from said site (A lesson on Trading Standards!)
On this link, there is No Right to Value for Money.

So on that, a Rolls Royce should cost the same as a Banger from the Scrap yard. Or the other way round. prices are reflective of what the customer wishes to pay. No legislation can change that, and has been around since Ms Magedelene charged for her services!

Think OP has spent too long on Google and not enough time when putting card number on websites!

I sometimes wonder if hpuse is trying to get Haiku into his (her?) posts - and failing badly. ;D

The right to accurate information
Trading Standards Officers now have the job of making sure that traders do not break the law. There are penalties for breaking Consumer Protection Laws and convicted offenders can be fined a sum of money or even end up in prison depending on how serious the Court feels their crime to be.

If people can report here that these websites are not doing anything "illegal" from an OFT ruling back in 2011, why can't I post living documents for reference sake. :rotfl:

That's a nice feeling to keep "I am failing badly" ;keep it that way - sleep well tonight and come back here with more fluffy legal defence!

Can you provide evidence from 2013/2014 from the OFT that the very same sites are subject of an OFT ruling that they haven't complied with?

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Correct.

but unfortunaley these sites do not break the law.

Your implied right, in fact as a subject in the United Kingdom, you do not have any rights, of Value for Money, is lke a can of value Baked Beans from the Supermarket
baked beans they may be, but quality, they are not.

I suggest OP stops using Google and reading the Daily Mail, and realise that the only mistake made here, was removing wallet from pocket and entering card details, without reading what they were paying for.
Fool and Money

Parted.

If there are no OFT rulings in 2013 or 2014, does that mean they are legally complaint?

I wonder how long you will stand here and defend these companies, Rouge?.

I guess what people are not realising is, there has been quiet a lot of 'involuntary revelations' in these threads that makes them appear like they are either affiliated or connected with these rip-off websites??

For e.g :

Statements like these are compelling evidences ....
......"dont contact the bank, it is a stupid advise, delete the post" (obviously they don't want to pay the chargeback fee to their merchant bank!)

......."nothing wrong with t&c's", you should have read it

......."customer clicked and agreed to T&C's", so now beg for mercy for a refund

I am not quoting and shaming those obvious posters....
If they are bold enough they will admit themselves otherwise they are simply sockpuppets fighting for their own survival .. !
• I too was 'duped', into @Rewewal' of an adult passport, application completed and was charged £49. IMO the site is cleverly designed to mislead, and in my case it worked. I was gullible in parting with my money. Though I have applied for refund to Passportdirect and via my credit card chargeback, I have little hope. I think the wording deliberately misleads those who use it for passport renewal. So BEWARE.

Yes!
It means no-one has complained to the OFT, or people have complained to the OFT who have looked into it and decided there is no case to answer.

I take it by your reply you have no evidence from the OFT regarding rulings for 2012/2013/2014 showing these sites have not complied with previous rulings?

I wonder how long you will stand here and defend these companies, Rouge?.

Until people like you stop spouting rubbish about sites that are legal.

Have you applied for a refund in the way stated in their terms and conditions?
Refund requests must be submitted by email to info@passportdirect.org.uk. Any refund that may be agreed on an exceptional basis will be subject to a £15 admin fee.
