hahaha! knew them, love them coming, and want more of them ......
My simple question still remains..... would the customer have lost money had the ads did not appear on google search results page.
I will write the universal answer, it is not any hypothetical answer.
Answer is a simple No. They do not.
Valli, Powerful Rogue, Pollycat et all - At least get that message straight in . Passport services copycat ads are now a thing of past.
Government is trying to eradicate them. And will eradicate them. Watch this space...
Your two bit rationales justifying customer did non-sense is never going to be heard by anyone soon, well may be except less number of posters still lurking here in this thread.....0 -
Sorry, I haven't been following the thread in a little while. Anyone know if hpuse has got a refund yet?"Always fulfil your needs, only fulfil your wants when your needs are no longer a concern" - citricsquid0

My simple question still remains..... would the customer have lost money had the ads did not appear on google search results page.
Would the customer have lost money if they had read the disclaimer (now writ large) that the website they were viewing was not the official website?
I'll save you the trouble of replying and write the universal answer, it is not any hypothetical answer.
Answer is a simple No. They would not.

Why is the Government trying to eradicate them if they are already a 'thing of past'?
Why do we need to 'watch this space' if the websites are already a 'thing of past'?
Doesn't make sense, hpuse.
But we are all used to that from your posts.
And just to demonstrate that you are not telling the truth - these websites are not a 'thing of past'.
5th and 9th entries on Google show 2 non-official websites.
Maybe the Government should try harder - or maybe Google should have a bigger "team of engineers working round the clock to stop copycat ads getting displayed by these perpetrators".
And talking of not making sense:Your two bit rationales justifying customer did non-sense is never going to be heard by anyone soon, well may be except less number of posters still lurking here in this thread.....
What on earth does this load of tosh mean?
I recognise all the words (well, maybe not 'non-sense') but just not in the order that hpuse has put them. :rotfl:

Pollycat,
May be it takes time for you to understand this.
Nevermind, I will repeat, and this is probably your last chance to understand. None of your well wisher posters (i.e thanker's) are interested in sharpening your knowledge base other than thanking...:rotfl:
There is a difference between links that appear as Google ads and Google search results.
Google ads appear first , i.e on the top of the search results page (marked Ad) since their promoters pay google to get them displayed..
Google search results are website links that gets displayed within the list of search (as you know these items are the 5th and 9th you really love to see when looking google results from the bottom of your heart, so that you can keep challenging me)
We are talking here about copycat website ads (i.e the link that catches your eyes first) on top part of search result page.
Those are the links that make a search customer click them first. And those links do not appear anymore for passport copycat services. Try it, See it, Believe it. But no, please don't thank me. :-). Thanks for your "no thanks" :rotfl:0 -
Pollycat,
In order to help you, let me post your own reply.
If the websites are removed, why are google still displaying 5th and 9th entries in their search results page.
Let me know if you need an answer to the above question to sharpen your 'knowledge base'.0 -
Here's a different question for you, hpuse:
Why is the Government trying to eradicate them if they are already a 'thing of past'?

Agree with the above though the quotes Pollycat posted from hpuse's post don't show.
Why are they trying to eradicate them if they're eradicated? And why you you talk complete nonsense likeYour two bit rationales justifying customer did non-sense is never going to be heard by anyone soon, well may be except less number of posters still lurking here in this thread.....0 -
Like you always do to other posters, hpuse, I'm going to extend the same 'courtesy' as you habitually do to others and totally ignore the content of your post apart from this bit:Pollycat,
Nevermind, I will repeat, and this is probably your last chance to understand.
If it does mean that, I will thank your final post - you seem, for some strange reason unknown only to you, to be obsessed with checking who is thanking who.0 -
Guys,
Take it easy: Government took action with Google. Passport copycat ads do not appear anymore on google search results page. What we have done is stop the spread, however, there is a lot more to do in order to completely eradicate them.
If you have a problem seeing the above action from the Government, then you should complain to your MP....
Pollycat, Rosi, Valli, et all....Have you contacted your MP and expressed your distress on the above?
PS: This is what you call, what goes around comes around.....:rotfl:. God bless these forums!0 -
No, I'm quite happy that they aren't in the ads. I don't want people to use them. Why would you have the impression that I want them to exist?0
