New TV Aerial Not Working

Hello, I have recently had a lot of building work done in my bedroom. This meant that I have changed the location of my TV. I am using a TV that is not digital ready so I have a freeview box. A fully trained aerial man came to fit the aerial and he has installed a Proception box with three ports for aerial wires. I cannot get the TV to work. It will not tune in. I have tried resetting the TV, moving the aerials in the proception box into different ports but still no luck. I do not want to have to call this man out again, the aerial wire is also built in the walls so this makes it much more difficult.
In the proception box there are three aerial cables. One black one with a small pin which is in the top port of the box, one brown one with no pin in the middle and finally another brown one but with a pin in the bottom. The freeview box is made by Dion. Also, this setup was working PERFECTLY fine before it had been moved, all other TVs in the house also work fine.
When i try and tune in the box, which is necessary as i did a factory reset to see if that was the problem.. it says carrier not found
Can anyone help? I have moved into my bedroom after 4 weeks of waiting and I still have no TV!!! If you need any extra info please ask...

Is the amp powered? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I'd suggest connecting the aerial feed directly to one of the feeds to a socket and try again. This will eliminate the amp.

Do you have another TV you could try?
There is no aerial socket, one side of the aerial comes out of a normal socket at the side, and then straight into the tv box and the other side of the aerial is straight into the amp. No other socketsand also no other tv, all other tvs are on the walls

An analog TV connected to an aerial will receive nothing.
The aerial needs to connect to the Freeview box - THIS tunes in the channels, your TV only displays what it finds.0 -

Why didn't you get the aerial installer to tune in your TV before he left?
There really isn't any other way to see if the work is satisfactory. The aerial needs to connect to the Freeview box - THIS tunes in the channels, your TV only displays what it finds.0 -
Get the bloke that did the work back again !!!
He should never have left the job without seeing a picture on the TV.0 -

I am not completely clueless when it comes to this - the aerial is plugged into the freeview box, I could not supervise the man doing it, I work full time and the contractor has been responsible for the hiring of all tradesmen. If I can't work it out I will call him back. I am as puzzled as anyone as to why the man did not check the aerial with the freeview box especially considering the wires are in the wall!! Guess some people just can't be bothered with good work. Thank you for all your help, any other suggestions are welcome!0
