I woke up early this morning so have been to the gym already. I don't start work until 3 today so have plenty of time to find a birthday present for my friends son. I also need to make birthday cards for him and 2 of my friends who have birthdays this weekend.
Budget for next week - £130.14
- £35.37 car club
- £30 food
- £30 night out
- £16 weekly savings
- £14 loan
- £4.77 emergency fund
Any money OH gives me I will split between the electricity bill and wedding fund.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £1.01/£50

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday so...
Thursday
I spent £9 on a present for my friends wee boy. I also spent £1.50 on milk and a baguette for lunch. I made the 3 birthday cards.
Yesterday
I went totally overbudget last night and spent around £50. Oops had a fab night out though. Luckily OH had given me £30 so only £10 split between the wedding and electricity bill funds this week. I was chatting to my friend last night and she said I could stay with her for the wedding. I hadn't asked her because she is a bridesmaid and I thought she would have heaps of stuff to do so wouldn't want me staying. I will buy her a bottle of something to say thanks, she has just saved me £170. I think I will keep the wedding savings target the same and use the extra to make an overpayment to the loan.
Today
So far today I have spent £4.77 on hangover suppliesand £2.86 on vitamins and plasters. I will need to go and get some washing tabs as well as we have none.

Morning Puzz
Fantastic news on being able to stay at a friends house for the wedding. Huge saving :j
You sound amazingly in control like always. I do think maybe you have the right idea having to account for every penny spent on your diary. I makes you accountable for every spending choice you make. I might consider doing that myself, might keep me under control at little more.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend xx0 -

Thanks Steph, yep I certainly find that being accountable on here makes me think about every purchase and it has made me cut down on impulse purchases (mostly).
Today has been a NSD. Nothing much else to report. I did a shift for 2nd job earlier and have spent the rest of the day doing very little. I've got the next 2 days off so looking forward to that.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I did a 5k run this morning (outside
) so feeling pretty prepared for it on Saturday. I then spent most of the afternoon with my gran, we went for a lovely walk. Today has been a NSD, tomorrow won't be as we need milk and a few other bits.

I phoned up today and closed cc1. It was a bit of an experience with the guy really trying to persuade not to and me going 'I just want to close the account' over and over. He was saying but what if you have an emergency. No problem I have an emergency fund - he's not to know there's less than £50 in it :rotfl: anyway got there in the end, the confirmation letter should be out to me in a week or so.
I have been up to the doctors today and got more prescriptions, once again very thankful that we don't have to pay for them in Scotland. I've got to go again tomorrow morning to get a blood test to check if I'm coeliac.
I've been to the gym today, sat in the sun in one of the local parks, cleaned the flat and been to the supermarket. I spent £30.30 which was a bit more than I planned to spend but should hopefully not have to do another big shop until the start of next month. The car club direct debit went out today and I made a £3.73 payment to the loan.
It looks like I'm also going to have tomorrow off. I had put down that I was available to work for 2nd job but they haven't phoned me. I've only got one shift this week for 2nd job but have managed to pick up 4 for next week.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

No, I just use the snowball calculator on 'what's the cost' to keep track of all my debt repayments. I find it really useful and because it calculates your DFD, it's nice to see that come down as you overpay.
Up early this morning to get the blood tests done - results on Friday. 2nd job then phoned me at 10.15am to see if I could possibly do a shift at 12. Really couldn't be bothered as the sun was shining but opted for the money so that's an extra £70ish next Friday.
Today has been a NSD other than bus fare for work. I really need to buy a new pair of black trousers for work, I noticed this evening that they need mended again and as I've mended them twice already I think it's time. I have a small amount in the clothes fund which I will use.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Payday today and I got £149.76
- £32.40 phone bill
- £16.99 gym
- £17 weekly savings
- £12 TV licence
- £20 food
- £10 toiletries
- £6.37 emergency fund
- £15 loan
- £20 electricity bill
Any money OH gives me I will put towards the electricity bill. For the next few weeks I will concentrate on this and then start putting money in the wedding fund once the electricity bill is paid.
Yesterday I spent £7 on a pair of trousers for work and also transferred the money I owed for the hen weekend. Today I'll need to get some shampoo as I have none left and I decided that I'm going to use some of the Am*zon vouchers to buy toothbrush heads.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
