I haven't posted for a few days as I've just been exhausted and couldn't even be bothered turning on the computer
however now on days off so slightly more alive today.
Monday
I spent £4.30 on a bus ticket as I was working from early morning to late at night. I also spent £3.17 on lunch.
Yesterday
It was a NSD (a good way to start the month) apart from the rent and christmas savings going out. I also went to the gym with my friend so got a good catch up as well as working out.
However, I got a phonecall from my 2nd job cancelling my shift on Friday  To be fair, shifts don't often get cancelled but it's annoying as it was a 10hr one and it means losing half my wage for next week. Hopefully I'll get another one but if not I'll enjoy an extra day off.
Today
I have paid the TV licence (£5.50) and put £25 into the wedding fund (£20 from OH and £5 reward from my bank account). I have also made a £2.50 payment to cc1 and will pay the council tax later on.
I got my payslip through from 2nd job so will get £109.20 on Friday
- £9.20 to cc1
- £30 to wedding/electricity fund
- £20 for food (I know I said I would budget £30 but I will be away for most of next week so it's just for over the weekend and for OH next week)
- £15 for rest of travel tickets home
Leaving £35 for any expenses at home, imagine I won't spend much but just in case.
Plan for today is to go to the gym and do a little cleaning in the flat. It's a nice(ish) day so think me and OH will go out for a walk later on.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

We went a lovely walk yesterday round the coast a bit to a spot that's good for dolphin watching, however, we didn't see any dolphins
While out, I spent £4.50 on tea, juice and sweets. I then spent £2.54 on cream (to go with strawberries for pudding last night yum) and breakfast biscuits. I also paid the council tax yesterday.
This morning I have been catching up on surveys (so so boring) and will go to the gym once I've finished my coffee. It looks to be a nice day again here so we plan to go out and do something later on.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Thanks Steerpike. I definitely find setting mini targets and having them written down keeps me motivated. Can't wait for all the debt to be goneMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Today me and OH rented a car for a few hours (I got a car club membership for my birthday) and went out for a drive to a nearby castle. We had a walk and then sat in the sun in the castle gardens. Was such a lovely day out but the budget seems to have gone out the window again. I spent £10.45 on lunch out and £2 on parking.
Unfortunately OH went over on his ankle and it is quite swollen and painfulHe is limping as well, fingers crossed it's just a sprain and nothing more. Once we got home, OH went on the computer and somehow managed to drop it  the computer thankfully is fine but the dongle that I bought recently is kapoot  so annoyed but he's given me half the money towards a new one and will give me the other half next time he gets paid - doesn't help me tonight though tapping this out on my phone!
Some good news, 2nd job phoned me and offered me a shift for tomorrow, its only a short one but better than no shift. It's also in the evening so I will have the day to myself. I might go to the gym but will see how I feel as after going this morning, my legs feel a bit sore.

Yesterday we went up to A&E as OH was in a lot of pain and really struggling to walk, however, it is just a bad sprain. I bought him a tubigrip for his ankle which is helping but that was £6.99 which I hadn't budgeted for. Add that to the £5.76 that I spent on (mostly) rubbish on the way home from work yesterday and the dongle that I bought (although OH will give me the money back for this) - my budget for this week has gone totally out the window and its only saturday
Oh well I have only put £10 into the wedding fund instead of £30 and will make up the difference over the next few weeks. Spends for today have been minimal £1.10 for bread.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

No other spends to report today. I caught up with some ironing today and noticed that quite a few of my work tops are looking tatty and some even are beginning to get holes in them. I will need to budget for some new ones fairly soon.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

I usually go to charity shops. Especially for work clothes. You can get some really nice stuff dead cheap. I got two work tops last year for about 10 pound.
Pretty chuffed.
Hope your dongle's not too expensive.Debts: ASDA Loan - £6,848.01

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your OH - hope his ankle is better but it was still naughty of him to drop the laptop (bless).
It's hard when unexpected expenses crop up like this, but I know you'll get right back on track xDebt remaining:

I do love a good rummage round the charity shops so will definitely have a look there. I basically live in jeans and t-shirts for work so even some cheap t-shirts from Pr*mark would do, however, if I can find good quality ones for cheap in the charity shops even betterThe dongle was £22 and OH is giving me the money back so not quite so bad, still annoying though.

He's still hobbling about, although not quite so bad as yesterday. I'm just so glad that it was only the dongle that was broken, a broken laptop would not have been quite so easy to replace. I think I need to try and get a 'unexpected expenses' fund on the go, maybe just £50 or £100 to cover things like this, however, its hard to put any more money aside on top of everything else.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
