Well done on the milestone of getting under £9000, big achievement! You seem really motivated and focussed.

Thanks Kei, I have to say I don't feel particularly motivated or focussed at the moment but as long as I'm plodding in the right direction I'm happy :)

Another NSD yesterday so I'm really pleased with that. Today won't be as we're away to Glasgow. At least its all budgeted for already from the PPI money.

Weekly payday today, got £63.67 so I made a £3.67 payment to cc1. I will need £35.99 for the mobile broadband ( still annoyed about this) and the rest will be for food and bus fare.

Next Friday I will get around £150 from 2nd job but think I will probably have to put quite a bit towards the electricity bill. I haven't saved as much towards it as I'd hoped :(

Chatting to OH last night about various things we'd like to do once I'm debt free and it has once again reinforced how determined I am to do this, definitely feeling more motivated today than I was yesterday :) so once we get back from Glasgow, I'm planning to start meal planning again (it definitely does make a difference, not only to my finances but I eat healthier too - double bonus!). I also want to walk as much as possible, have been getting a bit lazy.

I also haven't been to the gym for a couple of weeks and definitely feel as thoughI I've put on weight so need to get back into it.

  • Just read the whole diary. Your attitude towards it is amazing. The small but constant payments to the credit cards will really add up over a few months!

Have subscribed so keep the good work up! :)

Thanks Struggling Youth for your lovely post :) I've certainly found that making wee payments quickly adds up. I hope to get below £1000 on cc1 by the end of the month which is something I would never have thought possible..

Back from Glasgow and had a fantastic weekend away. I also turned 30 over the weekend so lots of lovely presents too. We went slightly over budget (around £15 over), however, I know where the extra went and it was worth it :)

Back to reality with a bang tomorrow as I'm on a double shift :( so unfortunately don't have time to catch up on everyone elses diaries tonight.

I have made a menu plan for the week and wrote out a shopping list for OH to get tomorrow since I'll be at work all day. Slightly apprehensive about this as he usually doesn't go to the supermarket by himself. However, he has been warned not to buy anything other than whats on the list so we shall see.

Firstly glad you enjoyed your birthday.

The stuff in bold, my partner told me this once. I really wanted pizza for supper & it wasnt on the list. I added it whilst in the store and bought it, then claimed it was there the whole time! :o She didnt fall for it..

I hope your OH isnt quite as devious.

    Haha lets hope not :)

Loan payment has gone out today but as usual will wait until interest has been added on before I update my signature.

OH went slightly 'off list' yesterday but only spent £11.57 so really pleased with that. No other spends yesterday and I spent £2.50 on bus fare home from work today as it was raining.

Made a £3.11 payment to cc1 today - I now have just over £70 to pay this month to reach my target by the end of the month although this will go up a little once the interest for May has been added on.

Up early this morning to go to a hospital appointment with OH so £8.60 spent on bus fare for us to get there and back. I also spent £1 on bread as I had forgot to add it to the shopping list on Sunday.

I have been to the gym today and its amazing how unfit I felt just from not going for a few weeks :( I really need to get back into going regularly, however, looking at my shifts for the rest of the week and over the weekend I probably won't be able to go again until Sunday.

I received my payslip from my 2nd job today and will get £148.72 on Friday so will need to make a budget. The updated electricity bill is £156.74 which is much more reasonable so won't need to put as much of my pay towards it as I had thought :)
