in Techie Stuff
on laptop after approx 5 mins it drops off.................connection fine on pc and I can reconnect fairly quickly but annoying to say the lease.
Is there something i need to alter to stop that happening

Assuming it's wireless, try changing the channel in your router config, also try moving the router0

You say your PC connection is fine. Is that a wireless connection too or ethernet?0

Wireless - Nuff Said. This can prove to be a very unreliable connection. Will affect speeds, connectivity, security. Try a hard wire connection.

I remember I had a problem like this once and the solution was to change some setting onto "full duplex" or something...Can't remember if that was for a wireless or wired connection that kept dropping though...anyone know what I'm on about?
