TV is getting worse on a Sat ngt, I survived a shopping trip with DD, for a girl that hates shopping with a passion still managed to spend an hr in Primarni......... she must have tried on 50 things........ my shopping bill for theree £146 (yes you read right.....), my part of that - 5 pairs of socks for £2...
That keep her going to the winter shop, so can't really complain, we had a good day and called in at the local pub for dinner/tea enroute home. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Coming in a bit late to the decorating thing but ... if you are not sure you could always have a feature wall with a strong blue and something more neutral on the other walls. This is what I did, although with a deep crushed raspberry pink and a neutral beige/mushroom colour, although then I had to re-paint the neutral to a deep cream since the other looked hideous with my new (to me, ebay) curtains!
The original neutral/deep pink scheme wasn't wasted as I have that in the lounge too with more e-bay curtains (well I had to use up the paint didn't I?!).
I'm another with a green kitchen/dining room. Someone said it was a flourescent green but it isn't, honest!
Happy new cooker LB! Sorry to hear about the descending tiles, but if the missing ones don't show then that's not so bad. I trust Mabel is fully recovered.

Happy New Cooker Day to me!
It is fab-u-lous. Just had the best breakfast ever - grilled bacon, fried eggs and baked beans with freshly baked bread (breadmaker not in oven)... words fail me, am coming over all emotional at being able to grill things again...:rotfl:
And, it's so big, I could have cooked a full Sunday lunch alongside my breakfast, and still space to spare! :T I will be cooking a chicken later (not Mabel!, she's fine thanks, RPP, will have to see how she goes next laying time).
I have everything back in the kitchen now, but can't tidy it until the worktops are cut to size tomorrow evening. Nearly there though :T
I have also planted my bushy tree and weeded the front garden. Looking pretty now, although needs more in it...;) and the bees love the bushy tree. I saw the biggest bumbler ever this morning. He didn't wait for me to plant the bush...landed as I was digging the hole and stayed with it through the planting
I've still got some chores to do, but am enjoying a sit down with a cuppa and some toblerone I found in a cupboard . Next weekend, I swear I'm going to go back to bed with a cuppa, I am NOT getting up at the crack of dawn again...
My diet is going....em.....hmmm.....

Pardon?...toblerone?...share it out then...:rotfl:
My diet is also going....em....hmmm.....:rotfl:
I do try, honestly, but I don't seem to be getting any thinner
Weighed myself this morning, so am trying to be very good today...I'm hungry! I haven't bought chocolate for weeks.
Your new cooker sounds lovely.
I'm busy in the kitchen today, I want my next cooker to be a 60cm one (much more choice) and the space isn't big enough as I have a slimline one right now. So am getting rid of things as I may have to take out some narrow shelves to make space. Washing all the dusty items to put in the out pile...if they're dusty I'm obviously not using them!
Also need to get rid of a broken dishwasher and a broken cooker hood...I wish I could wave a magic wand and have it all done

Yep, it's hard work sprucing things up. I feel like I've been in a state of upheaval for weeks! But the kitchen will be as finished as it's going to be tomorrow night :T.
I am absolutely dreading the plaster work being done next month - builder thinks it will take two weeks, so the pusses are going to the cattery so I don't have to worry about them. I'm not going to scrub the kitchen until after the plaster work is done as it will all need to be done again....and again....and again...:(
And then there's the decorating that will need doing afterwards.....Honestly, I'm going to be lucky to be sitting down by Xmas Day
And this is a small house, thank goodness

my head hurts.
This afternoon I straightened up and banged my head on the sharp corner of a wall unit...it brought tears to my eyes and I may have used a few sweary words
To cheer myself up I went and got a pizza (only a little one), and then opened a bottle of wine, oops. I think I'm just a bit fed up, not seen a soul all day, which I'm usually fine with, but today the day seems very long.
Still getting haircut comments, usually along the lines of "oh, you've had a haircut"...then silence :rotfl:
DS1 doesn't seem to have noticed...which is a possibility, he doesn't take much notice of stuff like that...or alternatively he's so shocked he doesn't know what to say...he is a bit more polite than DS2 :rotfl:
I'm not mentioning it to him, will see how long it takes!

oh, Ouch! Hope you are ok, Ellie.
It knocks you sick, doesn't it?
I often clunk my head on a beam in the chicken run. One day, I'll be found dead in the straw, with the chooks using me as an extra perch :rotfl:
Sorry, I'm going to be a cooker bore....I can see my roast chicken changing colour :T. Never had an oven with glass doors before. LMMM had to be chased from the door. Young Boy Cat was a bit freaked out by it
I'll stop talking about my cooker now...sorry...:o
Sometimes I could climb the walls when I don't talk to anyone all day, but mostly, I'm quite content. I haven't worked out what makes the difference, though...

I wonder if the chickens would eat your dead body, like cats and pigs would do? No, probably not, chickens aren't meat eaters, are they? :rotfl:

They can be cannibals ...they will peck each other to death if not kept busy and happy, so yeah I expect there wouldn't be lots of me left after a while

A spend free day today.... just gutted the airing cupboard, - have bag of clothes for charity bin, bag for rubbish and some new quilt covers that DD now doesn't want, there ready for f/b sellers (when I get round to it), and found some towels for hols, I bulk brought some at £1 last yr, so there cheap enough to buy and leave in resort rather than carting damp towels home.
New cooker sounds fab, if I had the room (any the money) I would want a range type cooker... but never know... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
