Just to clarify they are not gifts that were given to me (sadly I had none of those)... but those I bought for others
I do indeed love weekendsor more accurately any time not spent at work :rotfl:

LB - :rotfl:I had no idea what a cat wobbler was either... I think your puss cats would love one0

Well, I have to say, I never think of getting anyone an Easter gift so I guess I can't complain that I am giftless
. At least you thought about it even if you managed to leave them behind so you will get to enjoy them "by accident" yeah, yeah, I believe you
I'll get myself a £1 bunch of daffodils over the weekend :T
I have some Amaz0n vouchers so the Cat Wobbler will be a freebie. It's not like they don't have a zillion toys already including food puzzle things, ...but LMMM has a bit of a saggy tummy (which is so cutebut not healthy
) so I want to make her work a bit harder for her food.
Gawd, this afternoon is interminable. I feel like I did when I was a little kid, and was made to sit quietly while the grown ups talked above my head. I want to play out!

I'm getting myself an egg...My Boy cat has spent all his pocket money and not bothered...:p. Will also get hot x buns. I think I may have mentioned it before
I'm hopefully not playing bunny rugby or garage sky diving, but looking after bunns over the weekend
Off to look up cat wobbler...there's a fab video on t'internet showing a cat using a cat hammock...:D0 -
Byatt, that cat with the hammock is really good, well done him for sticking with itJust to clarify they are not gifts that were given to me (sadly I had none of those)... but those I bought for others
Aw BookWorm, I read it as you had been given gifts too.LavenderBees wrote: »

That reminded me of the day I fell sleep in history class :rotfl:
I don't think the teacher noticed.
Hope your packed up and on your way home by now.
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Well, I had an unexpected attack of the blues last night, but have slept well, am up and dressed (in scruffs, but still dressed) and ready to make a start on my day.
I have had the most lovely cat snuggles this morning to set me on my way :happyhear, and lit the fire (now going to relight it..:o )
Happy Good Friday, All. Enjoy it...despite the bloomin rain and the chores...later today my treat to myself will be a dvd from my stash and fish/chips from the van. Not exactly exciting, but fairly frugal, which I need to be, and very pleasant all the same.

Hi everyone
I'm off work today and Monday due to the public holidays. It's good to have some time off. :j
LB Enjoy your fish & chips! Just noticed your sig - you are doing so well with the savings challenge.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

LB Hope you enjoyed your fish and chips. A van comes to my village too but it is only for a couple of hours on a Monday night. I usually ignore him as Monday just seems the wrong day for F&C. Towards the end of the week, fine, but not Mondays (unless it has been a particularly horrid Monday!).
So, four days off work but the list of jobs to do is sooooo long. It is really just setting myself up to fail as there is no way I will do them all, but they have to be done sometime. I'm sure I'm not the only singlie with a list though. If it rains down here this weekend Byatt, it was me cleaning the windows!!
Have a great weekend away Bookworm and a great weekend to everyone else too.

Not sure if my plans are exciting or not. I have to decide if I want to go to mum's for the day. It involves her partner's twin grand-daughters, their partners, two small children (5yo and nearly 2yo) and two mad puppies (neither of whom is a puppy any longer but still try to jump onto your knee).
I stayed at home for the first few weeks after my operation and since then it has only been married grand-daughter plus 2yo (+ one or more dogs) or not yet married couple (including 26yo fiance who acts like a 6yo) usually just from teatime or sometimes just mum and her partner (he has Alzheimer's and hearing aids so alternates between behaving like a 6yo and messing with his hearing aids and then complaining about/ whistling along with them).
Apart from my first week home from hospital, when I had three visitors plus one small child I haven't had to cope with more than one friend of DS3's being in the house. Ah well, I can always come home again if it gets too much.
I swapped the five library books taken out last Saturday yesterday as I had read them all and I have also rented the film Philomena from them for a week. Watched it last night but could easily watch it again.
I have had no internet access since Monday. It was supposed to be fixed by 8pm yesterday but it was 3am this morning (DS3 told me, I was reading a book in between trying to sleep). So if I get bored I have half a film and at least two programmes that I have only seen the first 10 minutes of plus any new episodes of things I am vaguely following if I get tired of reading and sewing.
I have washed and dried 4 wash loads (and done the in again out again dance with some done earlier in the week) and re-located all my clothes into a regular set of drawers. My plan for the week was to start walking to the other house once a day and bring some of the plant pots and shed stuff back here but the wild weather made even going to the library a struggle and the pots are safer in the shed there than being flung around the yard here.
So braving the hordes today and then quiet pottering for the rest of the weekend. I have some things I could put up for sale now I have phone and internet back. I can't ask DS3 for any help as he has been unable to access/ work on his business all week. He got his sales figures for (last month?/ month before) before it went down but hasn't been able to access that money and transfer it to paying off some of his student overdraft and he has another game ready to go but couldn't post it on the internet. He was climbing the walls by yesterday. He's fast asleep now so I suspect he stayed up all night after I fell asleep.
I hope you all have a great weekend, however you choose to spend it and deepest sympathy for those of you with pita colleagues. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
