esmf I sympathise DH did his return and found out he owed £950 - that was bad enough!
Bitsy, we both found the first episode thoroughly confusing, loved the second episode and still have to watch last nights. I hope it's not like the first one.0 -
Afternoon all
It started to rain heavily as I left work & our flood warning has been upgraded, oh joy!
A big decision made yesterday, I'm speaking to HR tomorrow to see if I can reduce my hours, I had deferred my pension, but will now claim my pension & reduce my hours so that I'm bringing home a similar amount of money, but working less hours.
Goldie Girl, I used to do OAMC, cooking enough meals in one day to last a month, it wa knackering on cooking day, but it was worth it for the rest of the month as I was working full time & had 4 children.
Have a good evening everyone.

Another one here whose OH looks like he owes a hefty tax sum
Due by the end of the month, too:eek:
On a brighter note, I thought the first two episodes were just so-so, but I loved last night's Sherlock - Benedict C and Martin F were absolutely brilliant in it!
All chores done and everyone fed now. Will watch Footie in a but, then off to bed.0 -
Evening,
Well, another week begins. Today was a particularly busy one at work, but didn't actually go too badly, it was just long. Tomorrow my boss is away at another centre - that doesn't mean I have an easy day but at least there will be no little 'extras' that I will get asked to do every couple of hours.
Few little jobs sorted when we got home - shuffled some money around, booked hotel for a family wedding in the summer, tidied living room, put a wash on and got a joint in the oven. Phew, that's quite enough for now I think. Got quite a bit of baking done yesterday so the tins and breadbin are nice and full.
mrsmortenharket - hope today goes well for both your children
crowdpleaser - hope the black dog stays away
nmlc - glad you had a nice weekend, apart from the journey there
Julie - good to hear you are getting around ok but hopefully you are resting lots too
hilstep - lovely to hear you are feeling good
npm - sorry your little ones are still not letting you get much sleep. I keep meaning to say I do love their names (seem to be going through a name phase atm, even though I am unlikely to need to pick one for a few years yet!)
Good luck to all taking exams, I don't miss those days one bit.
Thinking of anyone feeling sad or poorly, these dark wet January evenings do not help at all.

Evening everyone. Haven't been here in a few days as had the girlies this weekend and every time I go near the computer, they want to jump on it and play Dora games or whatnot.
My OS today was making a lovely sausage and tomato pasta thing as I'm making a new recipe for the girls to eat every Monday as that is the day when I have the most time. Had the sausages cut up and the onions and garlic chopped and crushed by 10am this morning ready for cooking when they came out of school.
Then my 3year old and me made Weightwatcher flapjacks. Not quite sure how they were healthy, but there are quite a few nice recipes in my old cookbook, so I cook them even though me and the girls are not really on a diet.
Not so OS today was somehow feeding the dog twice. I threw her food away as I thought it was from last night that she hadn't eaten. My brother asked why I fed her again as he had just done it. Ah well, better a tin of dog food wasted rather than her not being fed I guess!
JackieO – I've just been given a PS3 (well I say me, my brother gave it to my girls for Xmas (well Santa did) as he's just got a PS4. Never knew I could enjoy playing computer games so much, albeit the ones I have for it are Wall-E and Mickey Mouse etc. I'd never buy one brand new though. I've had my mum searching for the Playstation Move preowned as there was no way I was spending £50 on it brand new. She managed to get it for £6.98. Bargain!
Tru – I don't think I've ever had a pj day. Sounds great though. I'd be too worried about someone knocking and seeing me still in my jimmies. I sometimes get in my pjs at 5pm after a shower, but never tried it all day. Hmmm... got me thinking now!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

¡Hola!
We have arrived safely, good journey, minimal traffic, and only a little rain over the tops of the Pyrenees, low cloud so views not as good as usual. Gorgeous sunset as we arrived though. I did take some pictures, and will have a look tomorrow and see if I can post one.
Just had our exotic first night tea, beans on toast, but arriving at 7pm after driving 3 days, means we don't have to go out, and I have this with me, Aldi beans of course.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
HH I think you have made a good decision, and I hope you can manage it. Not sure how I would be if still working full time.
Rather tired so will bid you all ((hugs)), etc., Buenos Noches. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0
