    Morning all,

glad its Monday I have to say. Slept so well last night I didn't want to get up this morning and Millie dog didn't get me up for a wee which was a bonus.

Usual household chores to be done today. I'm a bit late starting but I'm still half asleep.

Lasagne for tea tonight I think.

Have a great day all :)

Usual sleepless night here. Asher power napped on and off till 1am at which point she decided not to bother sleeping anymore  then Mr Flappy did his usual early morning wake! Episodes of casualty booming out from his room.....sigh
Still it meant that before I took Asher to Baby Sensory at 10am I had cleaned steriliser and washed bottles, cleaned kitchen, 2 loads of washing, stripped and remade beds, fed Asher and Noah and walked him to school, made meatballs, made dough for French sticks for garlic bread later and hoovered through.

Meatballs with spaghetti and tomato butter sauce for dinner so just the sauce to make.
On way home I called at village green grocers and topped up on fruit and veg and more organic coconut oil.... We get through loads as I use it to bake, fry, as a spread and in green tea as a morning boost:T
Once I've had lunch with Asher I'm going to do some baby yoga with her in the hope she will relax and sleep..... Even if its on my knee I don't care... I will have a cup of tea and a date with McDreamy and McSteamy which was postponed last night;)
I'm waiting for " No cry sleep solution" book coming from Amazon later today.... I'm determined to crack this sleep thing and as an attachment parent no one will ever convince me that leaving them to cry is a good thing, especially at such a young age where they are looking for security.

Hugs to all poorlies or those feeling down

    Xxx
  • NPM when our two were small they were beggars for sleeping. They had their routine of bath, cuddle and story and we put them to bed, but it really didn't help them because they still kept waking up.
In the end rather than leaving them to cry we took it in turns to go in and resettle them and reassure them that we were still there, we did not ever pick them up, we just laid them down and just stroked their head until they fell asleep. It took a while, but eventually they settled.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Well, that's the ironing done, the washing up done, the bed made, bedroom tidied and a few emails sorted out.

I've mended a blouse and sorted out buttons to replace the nasty mock-gold plastic ones M&S had used on two cardigans.

And I have spent a small fortune trying to return a call to "Healthcare at Home" so they will send me the injection pack for Friday. They don't send out if they don't speak to you, but their phone is constantly jammed so you sit and listen to annoying music.

If you do try using the email you get the 'out of office' message reminding you that they work Monday to Friday, 9 to 5pm - even if it is 10.45 on Monday morning. Maybe they haven't switched the weekend message off?

I was going into town, but that will have to wait as if I don't get through to them today, the pack won't be on the van - and they are only down this way once a week.

    Very fed up.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

Watching Sherlock at the moment, very weird!
We finally got around to watching the previous Sunday's episode on Satrurday; I think this series, the writers are trying to be too smart for their own good. I also feel they could condense the whole thing into a 1 hour programme if they omitted some of the "padding". Anyways, Mr LW was happy enough watching it, but I got fed up and went and tackled the washing up instead.:D Haven't seen last night's episode yet - we have that "joy" still to come (probably won't get around to it til the weekend).

I've managed to sweet-talk Mr LW into taking me to @ldi when he gets home - so that'll be my excitement for this week!:D We'll go as soon as he gets home, as it's pasta in cheese sauce for dins tonight, which I can rustle up in about 15 mins when we get back - he can look at his emails while I make the dins.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Wolfie, last night's Sherlock upset the Daily Fail, so that may or may not be a recommendation... :D

Goldiegirl, i will be interested in hearing how you find doing batch cooking. This is something i am thinking of trying.

I'm hoping it'll work ok - apart from saving a bit of money, I'm hoping that it'll save me time on other days when I'm busier.

I think the biggest problem will be stuffing all the meals in to the freezer!

I'll let you know how it goes

De lurking..... Just done OHs tax return as we were told just after Christmas that he needed to do one. Despite being employed and having a military pension - well he was til January last year, I've worked out that the two pay offices have calculated incorrectly and we might owe £5000. Eeek

Serious money saving needed. Thermostat turned down, only certain lights on, already only use washing machine if full, and buy basics. I meal plan, but what else can I do? Help please xx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

I thought it was bl**dy marvellous, enjoyed every episode. Think Benedict gets better and better with every series :D

Cleaning all downstairs, dusted, hoovered, cleaned kitchen, did a run on running machine, walked Luna, popped to Mr M and still forgot milk I needed :mad:

Looking forward to a night of chillaxing in a hot bath having got cold and damp on school run. The rain?!!!! Horrendous. Again.
