Old Style Monday 13th Jan.

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Good morning all.

I couldn't see another thread so I've started today's.

Am going to get up earlier than the children on a school morning from now on. Did this last week as had to put husbands eye drops in & found it a much better way to start the day.

Today my youngest has speech therapy. It's at 3.30 but will pick him up a bit earlier from school as he won't go to the loo at school, so will need to bring him home to go before his appointment. Then there is a Safe meeting tonight at the synagogue. Safe is the local autism group.

Dinner tonight is stew defrosted from the freezer. Made a huge batch last time. The children will have freezer surprise!

I need to go to Aldi this morning. I am armed with a list!

Bin day today so will out them out the front after 7am.

Daughter has exams this week. So she will be even more stressed than usual. She suffers with anxiety so this will make it worse. She has been referred for some help.

Right, going to strip my bed, get that in the machine & wake up he children.

Off to work soon, light frost here so I will need to scrape the car.
Hubby is still snoozing as he's on lates, I've taken him a cuppa.

Well dh is still at work taking snow white out of tge theatre. Yawn. Hell be joyous later.

Prepped all veg for spag bol yest so got up and lobbed it in slowie this morn will prob turn into a lasagne.

Blackdog is here and im trying ti shut it in a cupboard. We will see.

Right better go raise the rugrats. Have a good day all.

Morning All

Terrible night's sleep here so it could be a long day! Need to remember to take DDs car into work as it will be collected and taken for a service and MOT. Good service as it is returned before I leave to come home.

Made bean stew with naan bread for tea last night, DD having leftovers for lunch, I will have salad. Chicken something for tea, not sure what yet.

Need to pack my case for Wednesday, I'll get everything sorted when I get home. Looks like it's going to rain for 3 days - should be fun!

Good Morning everyone still black as pitch outside at the moment but not frosty at least.School run to do then a quick whizz around with the vacuum cleaner and then off to Book club for the morning .Free tea and biscuits and a good natter about our books.back to Dds to let the dog out for 10 minutes then back to my house and feet up for half an hour or so before the school run again and back to Dds with DGS and feed them a snack and home when Dd gets home around 6.30 ,back to my house and dinner and another day has disappeared :) no wonder my weeks fly by :):)
I took DGS Ben to Bluewater with DD and family and he got his PS4 Blimey !!! they are expensive aren't they,but DD said he got a good deal !!! its his birthday and Christmas cash and its what he wanted to get,but I can think of better things to spend that sort of money on,but different strokes for different folks I guess.
DD treated me to lunch which was nice,and I managed to get a good look around and come home without spending any money at all. Nice stuff, but more than I would want to pay.I'm not really much of a shopper unless its something I really need then I look at it twice before I buy .If the economy relied on me it would come to a grinding halt :):)
Right now, time to get a wriggle on, have a great monday whatever you are doing and keep warm and dry if possible

No internet at home this morning so a quick sneaky visit from work. No idea why the internet wasn't working and no time to look at it but will hopefully sort it tonight.


Better get on with work, so will leave with usual well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super day

Cold and dry so far this morning. WM is on. Just popped in to say Hi before getting dressed.

Today I shall clean through before going to work. Need to get some milk. Boy, is my life exciting

Not decided what to have for tea today. Yoga tonight.

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]I had a pyjama day yesterday, my first one ever Got up and had a shower, decided clothes were just too uncomfortable so threw the pyjamas back on. I won't be doing it very often, it made me really lazy, I hardly moved off the sofa all day [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]I had to stop making my cushion, I ran out of light green yarn. So I started making a new blanket with some tichy squares I made ages ago. I'm making it up as I go, I have no idea what it's going to look like when it's finished [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]I've kept up with the housework so not much to do today. I'll hoover the house and some bits and pieces have gone astray so I'll put them back in their proper homes.[/FONT]

Morning all,

Had to get up or DH would not have moved - I could understand that! Today I am looking forward to a day alone at home, I've only had one since 20th December.

I have to go into town to collect an order from M&S - gift items for the present box.

Dinner tonight will be a Slimming World unfriendly chicken casserole - we start on Wednesday night - from the freezer.
