so are you saying that people can choose which office handles their signing on?
You maybe right but I doubt it very much.
I am correct - I can assure you of that.
The process is called a Live Transfer and anyone can request a different office. There may be questions asked if the choice is not logical but the option is there.0 -

keep it quiet then as I'm sure it will be scrapped if the wrong person hears about it, it almost gives you hope these people are human after all :rotfl:0 -

Err - most localities only have one Jobcentre anyway, so it's not an issue for most. You've been able to change offices since JSA was introduced, possibly before too.
They are very much human, I can also assure you of that.0 -

oh lighten up, you only have to read on here, with all the shocking cases that show some are sad excuses for a human.
Not sure what help we can really expect from someone that can only find for themselves a job sitting behind a desk handing out sanctions for daft reasons.0 -

Its comments like this that really get me going...... Do you really not have the mentality to accept advisers and JCP staff are following rules set by the department for work and pensions? If you are a teacher do you really chose what to teach? no. If you work in ASDA do you charge what you like at the till. no.
Most people follow the rules their employers set, simple.
Advisers do not hand out sanctions.
There really is no need to be so nasty when some-one correctly stated that if you are in recept of JSA you can sign at any office you chose. Other benefits are postcode lead so not an option.
Just an answer to a question totally no need to tar all people with the same brush.0 -

Me so nasty, you must be mistaking me for someone else because I have not said anything nasty, the truth hurts sometimes, am example of nasty...try going two weeks with no money when you get sanctioned for being late to an appointment, now that is nasty.
Just following rules is not good enough, the Nazis used that excuse, it might wash if you are going to be killed too, if you don't follow orders but to sanction people so you can pick up a wage packet at the end of the month is disgusting, I would rather starve than do that.0 -

I do follow rules, try reading some of my other posts I offer help to people who are sanctioned when rules are not followed but I equally will refer a jobseeker to a decision maker if they haven't followed the rules.
The rules are in place and if they are not followed staff will be disaplined no two ways about it.
I have stated I do not agree with all aspects of the sanctions and conditionality regime but it does support those who do not have any intentions of seeking work.
Try doing the job then comment, sorry you would rather refuse employment.0 -
I do follow rules I would have respected you more/some if you had said ones you agreed with, try reading some of my other posts I offer help offering help on here is all well and good but it doesn't help the person pay bills or eat for the 2 weeks they have no money or longer is they don't get a hardship payment, try refusing to send people for sanctions would probably help them better to people who are sanctioned when rules are not followed again if you had said you only send people for sanctions if you agreed they had conmitted such a heinous offence that it would warrant no money for at least two weeks, but no, you say if they haven't followed the rules but I equally will refer a jobseeker to a decision maker if they haven't followed the rules.
The rules are in place and if they are not followed staff will be disaplined no two ways about it. sorry am I meant to feel sorry for you, that if you don't send someone to be sanctioned you will be in trouble, sorry it's the person being sanction I feel sorry for, not you.
I have stated I do not agree with all aspects of the sanctions and conditionality regime but it does support those who do not have any intentions of seeking work. which is it, you agree but...or you don't agree but...you are starting to sound like vicky from little britain.

Yes I would refuse that job.Clearly as long as you are paid you are happy to carry on, lets hope when you look back at your life, you don't regret your choices.0 -

You live in your little bubble I'll happily live in mine. I would happily do most work to support my family and that is exactly what i wil continue to do.
I will not look back and regret anywthing I have done, I certainly wasnt born with no silver spoon in my mouth, what I have I have worked for and I expect the same work ethic from all capable of doing so.
The benefit system should support those not capable of work and those who have fallen on hard time, not those waiting for their ideal career nor those chosing to claiming JSA a full time career and there are many who do.0 -

Which is more than can be said for the people that they have to deal with every day, who can't find any job at all...0
