Hi, just wandering what you guys think of this? I thought pressure selling was a thing of the past until I entered carcraft. Talk about taking it to the extreme haha this is what happened on my visit.
As I entered the door I was approached straight away by a young salesman. He sat me down and explained the way carcraft works. The problems start here and I will list in bullet points for easy reading:
1) I said I was going to buy in cash - salesmans response was that's not possible and I will need to use their finance??? Its my money, if I want to pay in cash I will pay in cash otherwise no sale!!!
2) I wanted an Audi TT. They didn't have one so tried pressure selling me a Peugeot??? I want an Audi TT!!!
3) They said they had lots of Audi TT's in stock, so I asked to see them. They are in the branch the other side of the country. Amazingly the salesman wanted me to buy one without seeing it and they will fetch it for me??? He was shocked when I said I'd prefer to see the car I'm buying!!!
4) I said I was leaving as they obviously couldn't help me get the car I wanted today so I might come back in the future. The salesman then said 'Oh your just one of the people that come in here to look and not to buy'??? NO, you don't have the car I want so why would I buy a Peugeot!!!
5) Salesman number 2 comes over and starts trying to guilt me into buying today??? YOU DON'T HAVE THE CAR I WANT - I don't understand what is going through the salesmens head!!!
6) Your prices on the Peogeot was ridiculously overpriced anyway after I made a phone call to price compare. I could get a lower mileage mint condition car for £4,000 less than the one they tried to sell me.
7)I walk out and here the salesmen talking about me??? Idiots, hope your proud of your job

Carcraft are famous for the hard sell. They also make money off you taking out finance hence why they don't want you to buy in cash.
Why on earth anyone would buy from them in the first place, let alone something like a TT, astounds me!
5 seconds on google will tell you everything you need to know about these cowboys0 -

Why not say "Just looking"?0

You didn't need to visit the sharks pool to find this out.
They sell overpriced finance to the financially foolish who shouldn't be allowed out without a carer, their sales staff and techniques reflect what you would expect from such an operation.
Why on earth did you go there, i'd rather eat glass.0 -
You found the door going in ok, how come it took you so long to find the one going out?0
-
Car craft don't sell cars. They sell finance deals which happen to have a car attached.
Nothing could compel me to deal with them.0 -
Also their cars are just the rubbish they buy in from WeBuyAnyCar from people who couldn't afford to run them. Which means missing service history and lack of maintenance etc.0
-
You're not their target customer. Anyone with cash or a decent credit history will get a better car, for less money - even from a main dealer!0

"Comission, comission, comission". And "I'll be sacked if I don't meet this week's sales quota".
Your interests and what you want are not part of their thought processes at all.0
