small smartphone?

Any recommendations for a small smartphone? My daughter has an HTC desire C. It is slow and laggy - but she doesn't want anything bigger. Moto G is "too big." So any suggestions? LG Optimus 5 ii?

I wouldn't say that LG is significantly better, although the processor is a little faster.

Well HTC desire is 3.5" which she is happy with. It needs to fit in a pocket and be reasonably unobtrusive at school. My moto g is 4.5" and is too big. So I would say a maximum of 4" particularly if there wasn't a big bezel.

Good luck with that, everything that small is a horrible budget pile of crap (like the Desire C).

Thought about an older phone? What is your budget? Some older handsets have better specs than the newer small handsets as back then 3.5 was more or less the norm.

Always thought the Xperia Mini Pro was an alright small phone at the time and it has a faster processor than the Desire C. Just found the above as an example on Ebay. It isn't new but looks like it ticks your boxes.

Others that seem to be close are the Samsung Wave S8500, Nokia Lumia 610/710 or the HTC Desire S. Don't know if you could pick any of those up in good condition.
