Wifi through Ironstone walls?

We have just had extra rooms added to the house/extension and have wifi in an optimum place for the house.

We have thick stone walls and one of the new rooms is an office, and bedroom so wifi is quite a priority.

Wifi fills the house apart from these two rooms now.. :(

Can anyone suggest the best way of overcoming this?

I have tried a Netgear Wifi extender but it was a pain to connect everytime i walked into the room, and it was weak so sent that back.

I am now trying an eSynic Version 1.3 WPS 300Mbps Wireless Wifi Repeater Range Network Router plug which does the same thing but again seems flaky?

What would be the simplest and best way to get our 'house' wifi into these two rooms? Are extenders the way forward?

Or is a cabled sockets in both rooms the best way? (we can cable connect to an iMac in the new office room) but wifi would also be good for smart phones etc when walking in the rooms? so maybe a wifi repeater plug on the end of a 'cabled' socket in the office room?

Any help would be great, or something I haven't thought of :o

Homeplugs are the obvious solution, either connecting 'the last yard' by ethernet or with a Homeplug with wi-fi.
You could use ethernet right through, but the time to install that was during the building work-now will be far more disruptive.

Yes, you plug 1 into a wall socket in 1 room with ethernet coming from it to the ethernet device and do the same with the router.

Ok thank you so just to get my head around this as im new to this.

So I plug one next to (same room) with ethernet from my Wireless Router.

Then plug the second one into the room with no wifi signal?

Do these plugs give out Wifi as well as wired Ethernet cabled Internet?

And if i need 2 rooms that need internet do I need to buy 4 as they come in pairs? and that means i need two ethernet connected plugs from my router?

    Hope I have that right?

That model is ethernet only. For wi-fi you need (for your set up) two with wi-fi.
For two rooms you need only 3 Homeplugs: one for each room and one for the router. The 'starter kits' normally have 2, you can then add them on as required.

Ok thank you I will scout on Amazon for a wifi set and add a third one too?

I think I should retrun my eSynic Latest Version 1.3 WPS 300Mbps Wireless Wifi Repeater Range Network Router Extender Booster as this probably isn't whats needed and start again with the ones you mention?

Are the two new rooms also seperated by thick walls?
You say you can cable up the iMac in the office - does that mean you already have a network cable connected up in there?
Do you have any old internet routers in the house?
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Yes the two new rooms have thick walls seperating them from the rest of the house, which is why i'm suddenly having the Wifi issues.

There is no internet in the office (one of these rooms) what i meant to say was, that as its an iMac we can "cable" it if needs once the internet is sorted as it will sit in 'one place" and not need wifi as such. However any iPads/iPhones would need wifi in that room.

The second room is a bedroom so would just need strong wifi (this is above the office room so maybe would pass through the floor? (and maybe just a pair of devices/homeplugs is needed after all?)

If it's just a floor/ceiling, then the wifi from a homeplug in one room would be enough to reach the other room. (At least it would with the Devolo ones I used to have)
