Hi am having a nightmare trying to get my NHS discount applied for friends and family, can't actually speak to anyone and customer services 'don't deal with these issues!' Have done all they have asked, supplied information including ID badge and payslip copies and reapplied for discounts as told to instore and have received an email to say I applied too late and have not shown I work for NHS aaarrrgggg!! beyond frustrated! Anyone got any ideas on what to do next? instore and customer services no help, everything done by email, sometimes from a 'no reply' address!:(

Not all trusts may take part in the scheme but have you filled out the online form? It has to be done within the first 30 days of a new contract being taken out.

Sign up or upgrade by visiting your nearest Vodafone store, vodafone.co.uk or call us on 08080 022 058.
2. Apply for your company discount within 30 days of purchase by either one o f the following ways: • If you have a company email address, go to vodafone.co.uk/vea and submit an online application form, entering your employer’s name. Then simply validate your email address by clicking on the link we send to you. • Visit your local Vodafone store with a current proof of employment. This could be a recent payslip or ID badge. One of our Vodafone advisers will be happy to help you.
3. Once your discount has been applied, we’ll send you an email to confirm.
4. You can share this offer with up to 5 friends or family members – just ask them to sign up or upgrade, then you apply for the discount on their behalf (see step 2).
5. Your purchase or upgrade must be made through Vodafone as detailed above to be eligible for discount.0 -
Hi Elaine D,
I'm sorry to read about the difficulties you've experienced.
If you'd like any help from me, could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So I can make sure I've got it could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

Dear Sirs
I feel that I have exhausted every means available to obtain a loyalty discount on my latest Vodafone Contract with your Company. Consequently I must make a serious complaint in writing to you before I proceed with further action outside of Vodafone.
In December 2013 I chose once again to remain with Vodafone when renewing my mobile contract. The date was around 18th December 2013.
I used Live Chat and was informed that if I knew anyone from certain specified Companies I could receive a 30% discount on my account. The link was provided and the contract started and I received my new phone (happy customer).
As my partner is an employee with York NHS Trust I duly completed the form supplied and passed on her details to Vodafone, her email address and my mobile number and anticipated receiving the 30% discount.
To date and after several attempts to sort this matter out I still have received no discount. I have in fact received verbal confirmations that it was about to be applied from your staff and several emails stating that there has been no such discount applied-for.
Sadly the left-hand of your Company appears to not know what the right-hand is doing. And I as a long standing Vodafone customer of some 10 years plus feel thoroughly let down and cheated.
Please sort the matter out and if there is a discount to be offered, please make sure it is fairly applied and not just spuriously offered to secure a sale.
I understand it is an employee discount whether the employee is one of Vodafone or another approved Company, and it can be passed on to family and friends. If I am wrong then I have been misinformed by a sales member of your team and that is fraud and misrepresentation and should be dealt with severely.
Yours faithfully

I too have been advised of this NHS 20% discount having been passed through to the retention department.
I called to cancel my contract as I could get a much cheaper deal elsewhere, stupidly I agreed to listen to the representative who advised that if I provided the e-mail of a friend who worked for the NHS through an online form then 20% discount would be added to my upgraded contract.
I agreed to do this and submitted the form.
Almost 7 days later and after numerous call and e-mails I have not heard a thing, still waiting for my phone to be unlocked too.
I have been on the phone today, no-one can update and after liasing with his manager the only suggestion by the representative was to cancel my contract. I agreed to do this however he stated that my new iphone 6 had been dispatched (funny, I have received 2 out of 3 e-mails, one to state my order had been received, one to state it had been confirmed but no dispatch e-mail). My only choice now is to refuse delivery of the phone or send it back within 7 days if I have not received confirmation of my discount.
Appalling service and I'm fairly embarrassed I was sucked into this retention scam, beware!0 -
Just to verify that you followed the correct steps: you went to vodafone.co.uk/vea and submitted the form, right? After this your friend should have received an email at the work email address you provided on the form, but you're saying this hasn't happened? Has your friend has checked their spam box etc?
If the email is nowhere to be found, it's possible that your friend does not work for a trust that is a part of the scheme, but I would have thought Vodafone would email to let you or your friend know if that were the case.
I'm not sure who you've been in touched with via email about this, but you could try contacting Vodafone's Web Relations team by following the instructions here under 'Biography' if you haven't already tried.0 -
I have indeed contacted Vodafone using the NHS VEA form as instructed by the advisor.
My friend did her part and received no response. In addition to this, I have also requested to unlock my phone twice with no confirmation e-mail.
I have tried to contact the web relations team, quoting the MSE reference number in the subject title and yet again, no reponse so far.
I feel utterly frustrated.0 -
Unfortunately, it does take them a couple of days to respond. The Vodafone website is quite vague about how long it takes to confirm the discount, so it's possible that everything's fine. Hopefully they will be in touch on Monday.0
