Oats so simple...

isn't oats so simple just oats, sugar and a couple of chemicals? I'm sure you could use them for anything you would use oats with - crumble, biscuits etc - just reduce the sugarweaving through the chaos...0

Loads of fab ideas. I especially like the pancake idea, as these are real treats for my kids. I got some cooking apples today to do the crumble ideaa and will do the others in feb 1/2 term whilst off with the kids.
The ingrediants for someone who was asking are 76% rolled oats, sugar, natural flavouring, salt, stabiliser, soya lecithin which it says is to minimise boiling over in microwave.0 -
Apart from the other suggestions, would you consider having them for brekkie yourself?0

That a lot of sugar thenm as all the other ingredients will be in very small amounts. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

It might be a better idea to ask your kids after 2/3 weeks whether they would like Oatso Simple for breakfast. They might say yes :-)

I was going to say that, you beat me to it. Just eat them yourself, you should never throw food away.

The BB date is Oct 11. I looked earlier when someone suggested freecycle. The kids have been 'off them' for quite a long time, well before christmas. I've been waiting for them to like them again, but am fed up with the clutter of them, as I have a very small kitchen. Am not too concerned about how much sugar in them, as they are just to use up and as already advised I will just adjust other ingrediants.:)
BTW- I'm not keen on them. (LOL)0 -

I'm sure you could incorporate them into biscuits [I use oats in my digestive biscuits] or could you melt some butter add cocoa and possibly a bit more syrup and stir lots in to make like crackle cakes for lunches.
