    Sunday 29th of June

Just had my MRI scan... Nobody told me it vibrates so much! What a horrible experience LOL but at least it's finally done and is all over and now comes the wait for the results :)

I asked how long it would take and if there was any way in which it could be sped up but the best they could offer was an average time of 3-4 weeks it could be longer but it's unlikely to be quicker :(

Oh well, there are people worse off than me so a few more weeks/a month longer is no biggie I guess...

It's a good job I'm not any bigger though LOL as it's a bit of a squeeze width ways! Regardless, a big thanks to the guys who performed the scan as they were both really friendly :)

    Hi MB

Get the teeth done! Priority! And make sure you see the hygienist every six months going forward!

Re bedding - there's loads of sales on at the moment. If you're not up to going shopping (which I quite understand as (a) your back is bad and (b) you're a fella!), then online is the way to go. Dunhelm Mills have a good selection but I 'm sure you know lots of MSE ways to find some cheapies and get the price down further online! Other than that there's always good old mum to get them for you and you can settle up with her afterwards.

Re complaint - I'd wait and see what their response is.

Good news that the scan is over and done with. Got complete claustrophobia the only time I had one and they had to pull me pronto!

Hope you're feeling better back wise in general.

    Hi SSG,

I've started to look for an NHS dentist... I've found one (which I can get to) which is accepting new patients but the reviews are horrible so I don't know whether to just bite the bullet and start the process and keep an eye out for another or just hang fire? I was considering going private until I saw the price lists, are they having a giraffe? £89 for new patient check up, £75 for scale and polish, £115 for a small filling!!!!!

I think I'll just jump in feet first with the horrible one as once it's done then after any initial work it'll just be check ups and the price difference is VAST.

As for bedding, I nicked some of Mums LOL it's a bit... Old lady... But it was free and it means I can keep looking and just buy something new and cheap when I see it, there's no urgency now :)

The complaint to Provident, I don't feel too bad about it now. I think I am just going to see what their response will be because I was thinking about it and when the agent gave me my last loan ha basically told me what to tell him and actually said that if I don't tell him about any outgoings then nobody is going to check and it will be ok and I'll get the money... I should have used my head and said no but I didn't want to have wasted his time and just agreed :( I'll see what they say and how I feel about it when it arrives ;) I suspect it will be a straight 'Sod off' LOL

I can totally understand the feeling of claustrophobia! Luckily my head was sticking out of the top so it wasn't so bad, I have to assume it's tight to stop people wriggling too much? Who knows, at least my back has relaxed again now and it's told me that it's still not a good idea to use a bus just yet ;)

I know we're only half way through the year but I'll be glad when this one is over and I can get back to living my life again ;)

I've got a dental plan that's £21 per month so I can go private. I had a rotten NHS dentist some years ago and changed to a private one that had excellent reviews but not inexpensive! Still the plan works out cheaper and I think he's brilliant and quite worth it. Your teeth sound ok - you'll probably just need a clean and polish - keep it regular and you won't need any expensive treatment down the line

When I had my scan they encased me in what felt like body armour. Was awful! Hopefully it won't be too long before your results are back and you'll have some news. Hang on in there!

    Tuesday 1st of July(!!!!!!!!!!!)

    Is it really July? Wow...

So today as I headed out on my morning walk I decided to drop into TK Maxx to have a look at their frying pans because my old one is scratched and horrible and thought I'd treat myself to a new one (bit extreme I know LOL who needs bungee?).

While I was standing there looking for the cheapest ceramic one they had I was doing the usual shuffle to stop my back from seizing up and while doing it I was holding my back (which I've been told not to do tsk tsk but it does help).

I noticed two "mature" ladies to the right of me looking, smiling and laughing so I looked at them (presumably looking puzzled) only to be told I had nice moves!!!!!

I hadn't realised that they were playing Salsa music in store and I was there shuffling back and forth side to side holding my back while reaching for the pans and they thought I was dancing!!! LOL I still got it ;) even if I didn't realise it LOL

I never got a pan though as their cheapest was almost £20 and I bet I can find one cheaper :D

    Hi SSG,

I was wondering about getting a dental plan but do you need to wait for 6 months first before charging back for treatments like a check and so on? If not then that might be the way forward...

As for my scan, I wasn't given any body armour just a rather fetching pair of PJ bottoms which swamped me LOL

    Hi INoD,

Convenience really... I struggle to get to my nearest proper supermarket (even though it's not that far) and when I do get there I can't carry much whereas I'm very close to town.

What I'll likely do though is keep looking and never buy until the handle falls off my old one! I'm not good at spending money on myself still, I can spend on other people no problem but I tend to make do and mend ;) besides, frying is terribly unhealthy...

    Wednesday 2nd of July

I think my MRI scan has messed up my back... I've not been in any more pain but I am finding some of the things I'd been able to do before more difficult?

I have a spinal care class today so I'll ask the physio there, I'm hoping it's just rattled me up a bit and it will calm down but I'm feeling a bit fed up right now as it's a bit of a step in the wrong direction :( boooo...

Finance wise, I'm still sitting on my Cheque Centre refund until I'm happy that my benefits are going to be processed properly and it's just as well because my work only paid me enough to pay rent and my DMP, about 2 weeks of food and a couple of other direct debits and standing orders I have go out at the start of the month... I'm not going to be struggling but I don't want to shell out on debt repayment and have nothing left LOL

On a more positive note, I'm due £23.50 from Quidco which is about another weeks worth of food right there which is nice and should Thursday or Friday this week :)

Oh well, life goes on :)

    Cya!

Well, I got back from my class about half an hour ago and we've a bit of a turn up for the books!

    Static bike - ok
    Floor work - ok
Gym ball - painful but sort of ok

    today I also tried

    Stepper thing - ok
Tread mill - horrible :( until I upped the speed to 4.7 mph and then whammo!!!! no pain, easy steps, great!!!!

Then I stopped and whammo - I fell over in pain LOL, still if I can do everything at speed then I'm cured!!!! I just need to avoid stopping LOL

It felt great to do something fast normally for once :) I know I'm not in danger of hitting 88 mph and travelling back in time but 4.7 felt like 470 compared to my normal pace recently :)

Can anyone suggest a job which I can do while travelling at 4.7 mph (or faster?) on a treadmill? ;)
