Its better than Coronation street sometimes !.....

thanks to Soolin over the years for help and advice over Ebay matters ( been using it for 13 years now and can still make a big b@lls up ! ) -

Happy AND a profitable New Year to you !
    And to you

I have learnt some invaluable tips from others on here, and am always happy to pass them on.

I do have a load of questions about ebay shops though- so be afraid, very afraid when I start my new thread later :rotfl:

I do find the longer I frequent boards the tetchier I get as no amount of warnings changes anything and the same issues just keep going round and round.

I do enjoy a good debate though as long as it stays a debate, the moment any one has to resort to name calling, or the 'Nazi' style analogy I lose interest as I consider at that point that they have run out of any sensible arguments. There are several people on here, you included that I have been at cross purposes with and I have enjoyed the robust discussions, and even, I admit learnt things.

Resorting to stalking though as has happened to many regulars over the years just shows the immaturity of some people.

I think you and i are a good example.

We have had some lively debates / disagreements.

But the fact is i respect you, always thank your posts - and indeed learn from posts where you have made me think.

And that's the difference with people who are petty, can't handle debate - and take things to a new level of vindictiveness & stalking for revenge.

Heres's to the regular MSE posters

  • LOL be sure you give me YOUR ebay name(s) so I can made an indefinite block on you or your hubbies accounts , I wonder what the likely outcome would be of "report" though that is bad news, do you think the HMRC honestly care about one person selling odds and ends , so this started cos the lady won heavy machinery DARED to try and book a courier ,so ok, I agree she needs arrested, interviewed under caution, taken to court right away LOL? What would that achieve, I always say you shouldnt make threats on the web as its all logged.

Dont get angry get even what does that mean anyway, also if EVERY single person at ebay who didnt know how to propose to transport a heavy item after a purchase who doesnt own a car is a scammer, then there would be NO ebay at all, how badly did it affect your life, a half an hour you claim, yet you seek revenge ....how much we talking here about £50 for some second hand garaged item ? Or have I missed the point you were making, you argued over couriering on a collect only item and for spite, decided to grass her to the taxman , cos I would not even know how to calculate what someones stock our profit was worth on ebay or even the number to report someone who didnt register as a business or whatever the report is going to say .

Of course, no one wants to be ripped off or scammed, but how can you say for sure and with 100% accuracy that this was a total ploy to scam you, PLUS the star system at ebay is also anonymous, the person left you a positive she doesn't sound like a nasty person , how do you know she gave you all 1 stars, those lowered stars could have been received from anyone as its uncheckable and only adjusted every few weeks or months so wouldnt change overnight.

You just jumped the gun and could probably have done something more useful for society than report someone for selling some personal stuff on ebay, being malicious isnt my bag but each to their own! ROFL

    Someone sounds very upset;

I don't see where it mentions the buyer selling "odds and ends"
also don't see "won heavy machinery" and finally the amount - 50.00. ???????
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay

We will all be at each others throats again later today.

so, what's the bet on how quickly any thread will end up with the comment 'you must work for ebay'?
