  • And she buys and sells from the same account, not very clever that.

Not very clever in general or just in that particular seller's case?

In general, having one eBay account for buying and selling is absolutely fine if someone is just a private seller. The only possible problem is revenge feedback from crazy sellers, but this is something that eBay should deal with.

As for HMRC, oh yes they are very interested in reports of undeclared businesses. As part of a voluntary post I held I dealt with people that had run into problems with both HMRC and DWP after being reported (usually by family members strangely enough). .

How do you know they are undeclared and not registered with HMRC?

Many businesses dont have a EBAY business account to avoid their home address being on Ebay, get free listings and in some cases avoid having to accept returns.

But if they are paying their taxes - thats not something HMRC will care about.

Not having an EBAY business account does not make them not a business - the two are seperate.

In which case being reported would do them no harm at all.

When I last picked up a stalker on here who claimed to know my account, they threatened me with reporting to HMRC, so I told them to go ahead .

There are quite a few weird people on here, almost as many as on Ebay (prob the same people :D).

And its people like the OP, with their own personal agendas and vendettas - that tie HMRC up in a case with no foundation - preventing them carrying out real work.

But boy can they make a nuisance of themselves, the trouble I had with the first stalker .....if he had put that much effort into his own account on eBay he would have been a millionaire.

Know what you mean - i've had a few on Ebay and a few on here.

One person replied to everything i said on MSE for about 6 months - following me from thread to thread. I reported it in the end - and assume that's why it stopped.

Oh good grief.. I don't know why people do things like that, I assume they have boring little lives.

Were you on the boards a few months back when someone registered the name Soolin and used my avatar and started posting, that was bad enough!

No, didn't see that. That really is a stalker.

I had someone on a newspaper forum do the same. People genuinely thought i had set up a new account. Eventually a tirade of abuse via messaging lead to them being removed and every time i spotted them again i just reported it. They would open a new account - but the way they spoke on the forum stood out - i always knew it was them.

They gave in eventually - and were last seen on the Mirror forums abusing others.

We don't half attract em lol. Think they like to have a power thing when they attack people / troll on forums. Maybe because we both can dish it back out - we wind them up beyond their anger threshold - and they can't handle it.

I do find the longer I frequent boards the tetchier I get as no amount of warnings changes anything and the same issues just keep going round and round.

I do enjoy a good debate though as long as it stays a debate, the moment any one has to resort to name calling, or the 'Nazi' style analogy I lose interest as I consider at that point that they have run out of any sensible arguments. There are several people on here, you included that I have been at cross purposes with and I have enjoyed the robust discussions, and even, I admit learnt things.

Resorting to stalking though as has happened to many regulars over the years just shows the immaturity of some people.
