Hi forgotmyname, I can't take the battery out - it's a huawei phone, only a small piece of the back comes off! I wish I had bought a cheap second hand Nokia now! I'm totally off smartphones after this experience!
If you google the no in the format suggested by nfl it comes up as a PPI firm on various forums too, hth0 -
Whoever the supplier is, they are liable for the consequential loss of any costs incurred as a result of a defect. It just would have made it simpler if the supplier of the defective goods and billed service were the same party.I might go and see them as the phone is fairly new and see if there is something wrong with it!0 -
Thank you, I will go to phones 4 you tomorrow as my husband can look after our daughter and I can't think when I've got a toddler with me! Thank you for your help, I'll let you know how I get on! M0

Surprisingly, it's not uncommon even for smartphones: http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?sName=&idMaker=0&idAvailability=0&YearAnnounced=0&nPriceLow=0&nPriceHigh=0&idCurrency=0&idFormFactor=0&idSIMType=0&idDualSIM=0&idQwerty=0&HeightMax=0&WidthMax=0&ThicknessMax=0&WeightMax=0&idOS=0&idOSVersion=0&idOSWhen=0&nminCPUMHz=0&nCPUCores=0&nminRAMMB=0&nminInternalStorageMB=0&idExpansionCard=0&idDisplay=0&nminDisplayX=0&nminDisplayY=0&nmaxDisplayX=0&nmaxDisplayY=0&fminDisplaySize=0&fmaxDisplaySize=0&nPixelDensity=0&idDisplayTech=0&idTouchscreen=0&idAccelerometer=0&idGyro=0&idCompass=0&id35mm=0&idCamera=0&idCameraFlash=0&idVideoRecorder=0&idSecondaryCamera=0&idGPS=0&idWLAN=0&idNFC=0&bEDGE=0&bGPRS=0&idBluetooth=0&bIR=0&bEmail=0&bWAP=0&bJava=0&idRadio=0&bMMS=0&idRingtones=0&sColor=&nBatteryCapacity=0&StandBy=0&TalkTime=720&sFreeText=forgotmyname wrote: »Thats some phone with a 12h+ battery life whilst making a call.
What exactly Huawei?...they talked me into a HuiWei phone for £60.
If I guessed correctly and it was G300 or Y300 then both have just ~5 hours talk time: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4594&idPhone2=53860 -
It's u8860 honour (I'm not allowed to post links)

Which therefore, unless it was charged mid-call, would be impossible.
I think the main concern is supply of goods and services, and also if you have any evidence that you weren't on the phone for this time. I'd also photograph the incoming call for this reason.
Legally, it's not your problem, although you should be recommended to pay the bill when it's being sorted out, as these are not CCA regulated contracts.

I've been going over and over it in my head (I worry a lot) I'm going to write down as much as I remember of that day, take photos of the phone call on the screen, screen print my facebook account post which gives a time and date stamp, print the bill then take it all in to phones for you today and see what they say. I found a forum online last night where people were really unhappy with these huawei phones and have been having problems with being locked out too. I'll keep you posted and thank you for helping

Does the phone have any sort of outgoing call logs stored?0

I would contact the Web Relations Team on here - see the Vodafone complaints thread - it's LONG but regularly tells you how to contact them). They really do try and help and I think they could.0
