I suffered the same fate as Nicola, ordered 4 heat lamps and 5 infra red bulbs in November 15 ( I had used them years before when they were Wells Poultry with no issues so I saw no reason not to order again - if only I'd seen this forum first eh?)
3 bulbs (cheap Helios Polish made bulbs - NOT the Phillips bulbs as advertised) blew within a week of use and the other 2 went well before xmas and can I get hold of them? Nope. They've ignored every media going.
Absolute crook. Never again. Replacing them all has cost me £40 elsewhere and I'm not amused.0 -
Maybe we should send him some of the less desirable by products of keeping chickens

Glad I looked at this part of the Forum.
I must've ordered something from Wells at some stage, as I'm now getting occasional emails from GVPS. Wondered how they'd got my email address.
No specific complaint here, although I remember the original company being very slow. Having read the above, I'll be steering clear.0 -

I have read all the posts about this company, and agree with every one of them.
I lived for many years in Ebbw Vale, Gwent and ordered online a number of items from this company before I realised they were very local to me. When, after 3 weeks my items didn't arrive, I decided to pay them a visit.
They operated out of a tiny factory unit with stock piled to the ceiling and items strewn all over the floor. When I turned up, the only door I could find had a sign that said 'Beware of the dog'. I knocked and knocked and eventually a man answered the door. He was swearing profoundly at someone else in the unit as he opened the door.
He was very rude and uncooperative until I entered the unit and stood in front of him demanding my items. He looked up at me and at 6'6" I towered over his plump short !!! and he went immediately and got my items, 2 of which broke within a week.
Needless to say I returned and demanded my money back, which he duly refunded to my card.
Although he may have changed business names - he operates out of the same unit and has the old company name still above the door.
Do not deal with this man or his company!!!! :eek:0
