Have you got any more bids yet? I find bidding doesn't really happen until the last day, more interesting to see how many 'watchers' you have.My extreme eBay challenge: pay off credit cards in 12 months: £259.25/£4000:rotfl:0 -

Good one!
Congrats on the new total Chicken!
When you go to your parents, see if they've got any 'nostalgia' jigsaws, anything harking back to the 40's and 50's does well. Reminds Ethel of when she was young !:rotfl:Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hi all, have subscribed to the thread as Im an avid ebayer and use this to pay off my debts faster as Im on a fixed income so there's never much left after all the weekly/monthly expenses.
Chickennoodle, I find boots sell very well in the autumn months, especially flat leather knee length, good brands like Clarks, Hushpuppies etc. if you can find them at car boots or charity shops. Similarly, in the summer sandals do well too.
Not psyched myself up for ebay since before xmas but hopefully your thread will give me some much needed inspiration.0 -

4 items sold out of 15, and I got a message from someone after an item sold saying could they buy it if they gave me more money than the person who won. But I'm pretty sure that's frowned upon :rotfl:
I only made like £25, and two of the items were brand new, bit disheartening really.LBM moment Nov 2013

That's a shame, keep trying though. I've had someone saying their item hasn't arrived? Where do I stand if it doesn't turn up?
Just wrapped this weekends lot ready to post in the morning, one collection tomorrow night.
Thanks sellurgranny definitely going to be hitting the car boots once I've cleaned my own things out. Will keep an eye out for good shoes.
This week I only have 4 items listed but I tried starting the bidding higher only at £2 as was free listing and it's annoying going through all the effort for only 99p, will be interesting to see how they sell. I've got a few watchers on all of them so hopefully at least another £10.
Got a seriously busy week at work ahead of me so really hope I can get things on. Does anyone ever store things up ready for a no listing fees day? Any idea how often they come up?My extreme eBay challenge: pay off credit cards in 12 months: £259.25/£4000:rotfl:0 -
In other news...I'm starting a diet tomorrow, an additional incentive to feeling better will be that I can sell all my bigger clothes and get back into my pre pregnancy stuff which is all stored away. It would make me very happy to sell some of this stuff! 4 dress sizes to drop, might save some money on food too!My extreme eBay challenge: pay off credit cards in 12 months: £259.25/£4000:rotfl:0

Bah had an ebayer message me to say the dress I sent arrived with a 'great big hole'.
The dress had some slight fraying by the waistband but I took a close up picture and mentioned it in the listing twice, she said the hole was in addition to this
I am guessing I must have completely missed this
Gutted.
Would you guys refund the full amount or minus the postage?LBM moment Nov 2013

I would refund the entire amount inc postage. Its not really worth getting negative feedback if you're planning on doing alot of ebay selling this year. When something has sold for a small amount, I've said don't bother sending the item back (as that'll mean you refunding that postage aswell).
Of course you don't have to refund postage, its not stated in ebay rules, the seller actually has to return the item to you by a trackable method to obtain a refund but if you're sure its your mistake and not the buyer trying to pull a fast one, then I'd refund them the total cost as a good will gesture. Hope that helps (and dont be disheartened we all get the odd spate of returns/refund situations, i still think the benefits of ebay outweigh the negatives).

Broke kitty I feel your pain... I had an eBay 'incident' too this weekend. I'm still a bit too cross to write it down yet fortunately haven't lost too much but makes me a but wary of eBay- not great when I still have a long way to go!My extreme eBay challenge: pay off credit cards in 12 months: £259.25/£4000:rotfl:0
