Why can't I right click, copy and paste posts in process?

When I post on MSE, if it's a reasonable length of text, I like to spell-check it by cutting and pasting it into Word, (I can't get the MSE spell checker to work - I've downloaded it, but nothing happens when I click on the "abc" icon!). Cutting and pasting into Word always worked fine with the old MSE site.
Now, when I highlight the text and then right click, it offers the paste option, but there's no copy function. This is very inconvenient - can anyone help please? Thanks.

Try highlighting the text and using Ctrl + C then pasting the text or using Ctrl + V to paste.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

I wanted to ask the same question as the OP, so thanks for that Wanty! :A :beer:We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Another way -
The Copy/Cut/Paste option from the Edit Menu (or from under 'Page' at the top-right in IE7) will almost always work even when the right-click menu is disabled.0 -

Why don't you sort out the real problem and get the spell checker working! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

As other people also appear to be interested in the points raised by my original post, perhaps you can provide the answer to these queries, espresso?0 -

You have not said which browser you are actually using but if you have downloaded IESpell, see SRA's guide here. However if you are using another browser, you will need to install a suitable plug-in or toolbar with spell check i.e. the Google Toolbar has a spellchecker compatible with Firefox. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Thank you for your reply espresso. I'm using IE7. I've just tried uninstalling and reinstalling IeSpell and its now working fine.0

I've never worked out how to use a spell checker. Never thought of copying my posts into word. (Though I probably still can't be bothered.) But I DO like to cut and paste or delete because I waffle and sometimes like to tidy up my posts before I press send. Thanks for the tip wanty. I'll be able to do it now.
Why IS it not working?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
