Hi Mizmir,
Sounds like a good day. Well done with the Loan, just got to be mindful that you don't break into that OD again. (But you know that xx)
Fab news on the dog food, wow thats alot of food in one day. I will stop moaning about the amount our Border Terrier eats.
I have been planning on lighting the fire soon too. Our oil is down to three bars and not ready to face buying anymore oil yet, so will soon spark up the fire to warm the house. The odd bag of coal and fire lighters seem a better option sometimes to paying over £300 for oil.
Keep up the good work xxxx0 -
Thanks Steph. You are right about the OD - we are going to need to be disciplined to keep from using it. I will ask them to reduce it (we currently have £5500 allowance which is crazy) so that we only have a sane amount for emergencies (and those are only things like the car blowing up or the roof falling in or one of the dogs having an accident). I will also be destroying the cards that are cleared and only keeping one that my OH can use to pay in advance for work trips (ie things that can be claimed back on expenses only). But we will have to be disciplined for sure as it is way too easy to fall back into overspending as we have done countless times before.
Today I will be concentrating on client work. I have a new client to see later and several reports to write up. I can then invoice for work done. So need to be focused and not spend all day on here reading diaries!0 -
Good snowballing! Overdrafts are such insidious debts, so easy to run up and so hard to completely clear.0

It is so easy to spend hours on here .... I need to be more disciplined about it!0

Oooh - just had a notice about it being a no fee and free BIN weekend on EBay - had better get photographing stuff!0

Just finished our log store - made out of recycled wood and to store recycled wood for the stove so should be a big help in keeping our fuel bills down. We have a couple of huge woodlands near us so am going to go up there to collect fallen wood and kindling. Plus we are knocking down an old shed and have a couple of broken pallets so we should have enough to be going on with.0

Well done Mizmir with the log store. Its nice to feel you have a fall back plan with free fuel for the house.
Will be lighting ours soon when the next cold snap arrives x0 -
Hey up Miz.. My stealth like cunning is getting better as i seem to be finding a few old mates around about here and on MFW..
I think you sound very determined and focused. Money causes so much stress in the long run. Good luck with it all.
Bob xxBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Bob! So good to see you - how are things? So the old crowd are now on MFW are they? Good for them! Serves me right for being so rubbish at this that I won't be joining them for a while! But I may have to swing by to say hi...
Am determined this time - losing nearly half our income has focused the mind!0
