Yes - gone completely - well a little scarring still but no pain thankfully! I still have residual pain from my hysterectomy 3 years ago so didn't want pain in my side as well!
Keep taking your own advice and rest, rest, rest!0 -
Limping on to the end of the month! Just added printer cartridges and some more business equipment to the budget - plus some final top up groceries- and am reduced to pinching odd pounds left in various pots to cover these. But will make it with some saved for annual bills and most of the Easter pot in tact.0

:mad::mad: Just had a not very helpful conversation with OH about cash spending that hasn't ended up in YNAB. Don't think I handled it very well - we are now about £70 out so will take it out of Easter funds). Anyway - need to find another way to ensure the budget stays accurate - maybe just a "cash spends" pot for her. I know it is hard to remember everything but we need to as this is where things go badly wrong. But she's having a hellish time at the moment at work so don't want to add to that stress and I think I just did.
Anyway - stop, breathe, find a solution. Thanks for listening.0 -
Bah! Just had to refund someone for my online course - she's overcommitted rather than not enjoying and wanted to postpone to next class but since I don't know when that will be, I refunded her. (Have a 30 day guarantee period anyway and still in that so felt better to do that. Except now £114 down! On the plus side have payment for some additional work OH did coming in tomorrow - £225. Will put that down as March income - think will need the boost!0

Morning Miz,
Hope you manage to find a way that works for both you and OH. Cash spends pot sounds a good idea. Not something I have to contend with, though DS 'borrows' a £1 here and there from my purse last minute for school and I forget to note it. Then I wonder why my casual spending money never balances!
Ooh, with the overcomitted lady I know you've refunded her, but could that be a good motivator to get a course date set for the next one?
Sounds like a bit of a rollercoaster with money out and in - glad you're on top of it! Well done. :T

"Rollercoaster" sounds like it
you still live with pain from the hysterectomy? I'm sorry to hear that, miz
between you and OH having a flare, and a refund too, it must feel everything's on top of you right now (um, it would for me, anyway) - well, you know its temporary with OH, and you have a solution to the cash problem, so that should be okay.
I had a thought last night, and looked at the shortfall I currently have during my worst weeks - its pretty bad! Must get the new initiatives going, but must rest first too, as you say.
Hope today goes well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks guys. Better today. Dates were kind of set for the next run (Sept and Jan) but it is such a lot of work that I am considering moving to once a year and focusing on some other things other times. Didn't want her to have to wait until next year - though I think she would've been fine with it, I wouldn't!
All fine with OH - she's just having a tough time at the moment. We'll go for the pot approach this month and see what happens.
Pressing on with the new product - should be live tomorrow with the last cohort of students testing it - won't be making money for a while but is going to be the backbone of what I do in the end (its a membership site).
LED bulbs arrived and are working beautifully in the kitchen. The bathroom fittings are jammed so freeing them is a job for the weekend. But all working fine so doesn't seem to be a problem with our connectors.0 -
This is exciting! Best of luck for going live tomorrow! And I'm glad the LEDs are doing good2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Excellent news on the new product - lots of luck with go live tomorrow :T. From small acorns grow and all that.
Great news on the LEDs too, here's to lower electricity bills . I'm rather excited about what our weekly meter reading will be on Saturday. Just called me sad :rotfl:
Karma - sorry to hear you've got Shingles too, hope it's gone soon. When do your LEDs go in? I'm finding them much brighter than the old CFL energy saving lights we had, a win-win with eyesight going through age :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:
