I can think of at least one person who lies in an adapted house which was done via a disbaled facilities grant. Her house is bigger than her needs; so pays bedroom tax. Can't downsize because she'll then have to pay back the grant.

I'm sure her situation isn't unusual.

Just because you don't need a spare room, doesn't mean other disabled people don't.

You really are missing the point. All of those use the DWP impact report, which was flawed.

I personally think a lot will be disabled but I'm guessing as no real data based on DLA HRC are released. If there is data showing this I really would like it because the impact report isn't worth the paper it's written on.

No idea why you think someone with a stutter would get an extra bedroom. They won't. You'd only get an extra room if you have an overnight carer, which you certainly won't need if you've only got a stutter.

They are part of the 66% "disabled" people who are being effected by the "bedroom tax"
Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j

the toris are sitting back laughing at this thread, us fighting over who should have a spare bedroom in a !!!!!!!! council house, whilst they give married couples a tax break, free meals to all infants even if their parents are millionairs, £5 million to the Indian spice girls £5 million to put on a TV show in India, they seem to have enough money for that, yet we are arguing about bedrooms and whether those being classed as disabled are enough disabled :rotfl:

You have to give it to the tories this time, their spin doctors have done their jobs well this time.

that's what the dhp are for and she should be getting some, the facts they are using are the ones that class anyone who comes under the equality act as disabled.
and dhp take all income into consideration. Of someone gets dla/pip they are unlikely to shp. So money paid to help with their disability will be used for rent

Thank you so much for giving me much needed entertainment tonight.

This comment, plus your attack at me, followed by your lack of response when I pulled you up on it, says so much more about you than it does to us :)

Ha, brilliant. You supporting a policy which is going to affect the disabled and you have the audacity to suggest I am the one who isn't civil. No, screw that, it is one of the few things that peeves me royally.

Its an awful idealogical motivated headline policy and it targets the group of people who least deserve it. If its coming down to a debate about just how many of the god damn %66 are disabled enough for you, that should scream that your definition of civility has majorly broken.

66% - that is what you quote. But you have no facts just ill informed rants. Are you on medication, perhaps you need to visit your GP regarding your anger issues.
