  • I agree with Coupon here - the fact they are prepared to reduce it to £10 is merely an attempt to coerce some money out of the OP. They have confirmed that this OP paid with the details provided - therefore no terms were breached. (2 minutes - over the paid time falls well within the grace periods for upon entering the car park and leaving after the parking period).

DVLA costs are in any case a tax deductible business expense afforded as part of ATA membership criteria and so is postage.

Decline their kind offer and request that they look at the appeal with the letter you sent - they are already past the 35 day for the original appeal you made. They need to cancel or issue a POPLA code (which will cost them more money - point this out and suggest they attempt to mitigate their loss here and cancel)

Well for once I disagree with the two ladies. Sorry!

I understood that the view of most of the regulars was that it was the huge swingeing charges that was the main issue with PPC and if there were fair charges then that would legitimise the right for a landowner to have some fair protection for their land.

I am not even suggesting that in this case Of should pay any penalty charges, just that they compensate the PPC for GPEOL caused by their mistake in entering the wrong registration. Personalising this because Uncle Simon is rolling in it and is an ex-clamper is being subjective and not objective.

I believe in people taking responsibility for their own actions, and even if the PPC may employ dubious practices at times, it doesn't mean following their lead.

Offering to reimburse anyone or any company for expenses incurred by one's action or negligence seems to be the right and proper thing to do.
