I totally disagree. Having your good name restored is worth far more than money, unless you are desperate for money to survive!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

What were you alleged to have said?
To be honest most cases are settled a few days or the day before the hearing as it's very expensive to defend a tribunal. I went and settled on the morning before my hearing. It didn't phase me one bit.
This firm are not short of money so a settlement was never an option. I was a popular staff member and they did not want the possibility of a deal coming out to my peers. I knew this. They really believed in their own propaganda and threatened me with massive court costs if I continued. I am glad I did as it shows me not to be racist and that they went out of their way to dispose of me on that basis.
To answer your question I was alleged to have said P*** get out of my county and that I used to beat up people like the "Victim" when I was younger. All bulls*** but under the Dignity Policy at work they felt safe to do what they did. They didn't count on me fighting all the way. May solicitor maybe could have don it more effectively but didn't want to try for anything less than £15,000 which as you know is always 30% more than what they say so I went about it on my own.
You never know what you are capable of unless you try. My dad taught me that and I am glad I listen to his words of wisdom. Just wish he was alive to revel in my victory with me.
His version was embellished each time and never challenged and I was not show what this person said. I did tell the employer this in the Hearing and the appeal, and instead of checking it out they just ignored it and took his word for it. I offered an explanation as to how this came into play and it was dismissed by the employer but accepted by the Judge.
(and a lot of praying for the strength to get through this!)0 -
Sadly, this whole racism farce is brought on by an employer that only looks for the bad and not the good in its employees. And unfortunately there's too many of them, and this is a hard lesson to learn.0

Congratulations on your success at the ET.
What is really sad is they put you through this in the first place.
Best wishes for the journey forward from here.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

But this firm will maybe think hard before subjecting anyone else to this sort of grief. They might want to think about others dignity at work and the consequences of their actions on the lives of people that fall foul of false accusations. This affected my wife and baby as much as me.
I know one thing, they certainly haven't any dignity after this trouncing.
I feel sorry for my close work colleagues who cannot openly interact with me. Unfortunately they were fearful of their own futures. I have to private message and text because the Social networking Policy might be used against them if they are seen to be associated with me.0
