My uncle is a Kenneth, though to everyone he has been 'Ken' for years - it's only my Mum (his 'big sister') who still calls him 'Kenneth'.
Similar to my sister, it's only close family who still call her by her birth name; everyone else uses one of a couple of shortened versions, which don't sound exactly the same as the long version, so sometimes I'll be out with her and her friends, and wondering "Who is this xxxxx woman everyone is talking about?"
I'm OK, I have an unshortenable name:)
My DS got an unshortened name but he gets called little xxx shortened surname by some folk his dad big xxx . He's got his dads surname I changed back to my maiden name when I got divorced.0 -
Evening everyone.
Don't suppose by any chance anyone on here has an ebay business account. Trying to decide if it's worth upgrading mine and trying to make what has been a hobby/part time side line into something a bit more serious. Have been selling various items, and it has been doing well. Don't want a shop just a business account so it's all above board. Is there any hidden downsides I'm probably missing? Many thanks0 -

Its so easy to do it - once set up and linked to a clubcard you point and shoot at each item then put it in your bag so saving time queueing, packing etc.
My OH calls me the happy scanner
But I would not get my daily exercise racing to the scanners on the pillars thinking I have found a bargain and then having to go and put it back.
Repeating this a few times is a decent work out you know.0 -

Yeah, then proceeded to mock my DH for eating moldy cheese, although might have to retract it if it turns out the bog standard block cheese has extra nutty flavour :rotfl:0 -
