They used to be in carrier bags and cardboard boxes and lying loose until I got organised. Recently transferred all of them (intact) to large plastic boxes with lid.

I can only imagine the lid was open a crack at some point because it was the entire top layer that was munched

No way I would have missed it when packing them away so it's definitely been since storing them "securely" :(

I have rearranged the shelves so my plastic storage box of face wipes, my box of buggies wipes and my 2 boxes of tissues are now on the very top of my shelves. Toilet paper and kitchen towels are in the rafters as always. Boxes of lotions, shampoos, shower gels and mouthwash are on the lowest shelves so they,ll get a shock if they much any of them :rotfl:

Cereals, crisps, biscuits etc are stored in old kitchen cupboards

Game on pesky rodents. Game on

When we go camping our aunt keeps her biscuits in a plastic storage container tightly sealed, one year she kept hearing rustling every morning. By about day 4 of 5 they had got in through the bottom of the box so keep a good eye on everything there is no stopping the them. ;)

I'm sure this has already been spotted before...? But heinz beans 2 for £3 is showing on Sada's site but not on MSM? 2 for £3 at T too, so could compare well.

Oops, guess the site was just updating! :embarasse

jailea food banks take all sorts. Some food banks accept bread and so on, but you'll probably need to call your local to check. One food bank I went to in Cornwall has started giving out frozen/chilled foods too which I think is wonderful :)

    for aau1's Nanna :)

    95th-birthday-napkins-500x500_zpsa9d305d5.jpg

Hope she doesn't me mind me calling her Nanna, rather than Gran or Grannie. That's what I called my Mum and Dad's mums:)
I had a Little Nanna, and a Big Nanna.
    Now no longer here:(

I didn't think when I called myself Nana, whether it should have one or two "n"s in the middle. :o

I had a Grandad who I called "Pops", a Nanny, Granny and Great Granny. Was only my Nan left when I started secondary school and I didn't make the most of her being around. :(

My girls loved their Nanny to bits, but she made so much more effort than my Nan ever did. She gave love and they gave it back. :A

They still have OH's Dad, that is Grandad but they say he is not a proper one as he is never around. They all missed the cuddles my dad used to give them. :(

I'm going to make sure Teenytinyshoes gets lots of love and cuddles from me. :D

If the closest one doesn't accept them, there's another one not much further (in the other direction) anyway, so I'll have to check. Hm, I feel really positive about this :) We've never really been in a position to give to a food bank before so it's just never crossed my mind.

In my day grandparents were very practical people who'd lived through the war and brought up families during the depression, WW2 and the austerity years.

They were kind of remote. They weren't the generation that gave hugs and when you visited them you adpted their rules, which involved being quiet while the adults talked. And the TV being switched off as you were visitors. I remember my grandpa kept on denying we'd ever get to the moon as it wasn't in the bible. When they did land, he laughed and looked delighted!
