Oh dear do we get to see the remains? :rotfl:
I haven't made a cake in ages, I have my mum's cake tins now she was the one with the magic touch, wonder if using hers will make a difference to my baking skills.0 -
for aau1's Nanna
Hope she doesn't me mind me calling her Nanna, rather than Gran or Grannie. That's what I called my Mum and Dad's mums:)
I had a Little Nanna, and a Big Nanna.
Now no longer here:('It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

I am glad I am not the only one who gets visitors in their stashes.
Where did you have them stored aau, hope not got in anything else.
They used to be in carrier bags and cardboard boxes and lying loose until I got organised. Recently transferred all of them (intact) to large plastic boxes with lid.
I can only imagine the lid was open a crack at some point because it was the entire top layer that was munched
No way I would have missed it when packing them away so it's definitely been since storing them "securely"
I have rearranged the shelves so my plastic storage box of face wipes, my box of buggies wipes and my 2 boxes of tissues are now on the very top of my shelves. Toilet paper and kitchen towels are in the rafters as always. Boxes of lotions, shampoos, shower gels and mouthwash are on the lowest shelves so they,ll get a shock if they much any of them :rotfl:
Cereals, crisps, biscuits etc are stored in old kitchen cupboards

Lots of long-forgotten recipes from the past - classics such as Welsh honey cake, Chelsea buns and trifle, and intriguing delights such as rout biscuits, taffety tarts, wiggs (sweet and spicy yeast buns) and fanchonettes (an early and more delicate version of lemon meringue pie). She knows her stuff, too - who knew that doughnuts date back to the seventeenth century and were originally boiled in lard?
Not yet but I intend to. Am using one of her recipes tomorrowI love her no !!!!!! approach to baking.

Hmm... My local food bank has a very specific "shopping list" of the things they want (in some cases with weight - e.g. "Sugar (500g)"). Do you think they'd refuse my thins?'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Thanks. I don't mind you using Nanna at all
She's the only grandparent I've ever known. My daughter is lucky. She has 2 grandads, 3 grans (my dad re-married) and 2 great grans!
She calls one grandad "papa" but I didn't get any cheap "papa" cards in Clinton's so I might try to switch her to using "grandad" this year :rotfl:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
