I will talk to the school, maybe they have CCTV outside the changing rooms, but if anyone told me they had brought £200 to school I would tell them they were asking for trouble . It was a total one-off that he even took his wallet to school, the school operates a cashless system, he just needed £2 to pick up something on the way home. A hard lesson, I think he is devastated to be honest

Don't quote me on this, but apparently, you can use those vouchers on the reduced NO7 items. Is it the NO7 make up voucher you have or skincare? I guess it's dependent on which SA you go to. If you check the clearance shelves at your local, there should be heaps of NO7 cosmetics that are down to £1 or £2.0 -

Hello,
Is anyone else watching Hidden Kingdoms on BBC1, It seems totally random, although our cat is loving it! Had such a rubbish day still recovering from Mr Shoes epic fail, after being awake every couple of hours for the website to work and got big fat 0! Meh never mind, I think I've actually saved myself money but not getting anything, I did pop into a store at mid morning and picked up a few tiny bits, bubble bath etc, that 5% makes quite a bit of difference between reasonably priced and a bargain in my book this site has changed my bargain level lol.
Trying to stay positive but it's difficult at the moment, feel like I'm working and getting nowhere at the moment I think tiredness is to blame!0 -

I hate the phrase 'team building', in my experience it just creates divides, I've never known it to do what it says on the tin!Could any of you give me some advice please?
Have just found out that my 14 yr old son was stupid enough to take his wallet to school yesterday (he needed £2, was running late, so just picked up his wallet). Wallet contained £200 - all of his Xmas and birthday money. He was also idiotic enough to leave it in school changing rooms while he played in a basketball match after school. Needless to say - wallet stolen
He has confessed to DH while they are out, he will be back in approx 30 mins and I am totally furious with him - all kinds of sanctions are running through my mind - grounded for X amount of time/ no more basketball for the rest of school year/has to do chores to the value of the money lost etc etc.
Do you agree that he should be punished for leaving his wallet unattended?
All sensible suggestions considered ....
Thanks for any advice, I am really struggling to rationalise this one. Obviously the thief is to blame, but son does know that things get stolen from school changing rooms. Will ring school tomorrow, but he has told teachers today and I don't think anything can be done xx
I would agree with the others, I think it's punishment enough, imagine the plans he probably had for the money.
Yes it was a stupid mistake but people far older have made worse ones, I think you are angry at the thief and not at your son, you might be misdirecting it because no-one knows who the thief is and you can't yell at him/her instead xxNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

awww buyitall..........your son will need a hug I will bet he feels awful and any punishment should be for the scumbags that stole from him, yeah it was silly to take it to school but we all make mistakes ......especially when we are young and havent had the misfortune of knowing that there are scumbags everywhere.

Aah bless him.. I don't usually comment but I'm sure he feels bad enough and losing the money is quite a harsh punishment on it's own
tell me to shut it if you wish
I agree, bad enough to lose the money. Do you have household insurance? If your excess is low enough it may be worth claiming. I would certainly tell the school you are reporting it to the police, it may make them make some effort in hunting down the thief.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
