I am cheating here I just copied and am going to paste here the post I just wrote on the frugal thread.
Oops .........I have just been on approved food and placed my first order! I went on mainly for the ce cream mix as it is something my son loves but I hate paying for so now he can make his own
I had to shuffle my basket around to get to £15 order but not exceed the first delivery price of £5.25 well I managed it bang on the £15 and I think just about at the weight limit but now have 24 twin packs of ice cream mix coming so 48 in total :rotfl:
I ordered some other bits including 4 3kg bags of pasta :rotfl: I basically bought a lot of things that will last past their best before dates. We do get through alot of pasta and thought at that price I can't really say no as it will all get eaten. It might take years but it will get eaten :rotfl:
Anyway I am looking forward to my delivery I spent £15 on food and saved £29.37 so that's pretty good as far as I am concerned it's a shame the smallest delivery cost is £5.25 but even removing that from my saving I am still saving £24.12
End of copy and paste is here
Ok so I managed to buy some stuff I have wanted for ages but not had the money to get such as spices I bought 1 pack of Garam Masala 1kg for £1 and 3 packs of Hot Madras Curry Powder 400gm each for 50p each so all 3 £1.50 now that is alot of spice for a fraction of normal costs in fact I saved £3.49 on those items alone! I have wanted for a long time now to be able to cook a madras from scratch so now I am a step closer to being able too
I also got 10 strawberry flavour delights for a whole £1 thats a quick and easy pudding that my son will love
I got 4 tins of mango pulp for my sons ice cream and 2 1000g bottles of passata so I can now do a couple of bulk cooking meals I am thinking spag bol and a chilli I just need to get the rest of the ingredients lol but I am thinkng that will put quite a few homecooked meals in the freezer esp if I cook up some of the pasta mix it with the spag bol and freeze it then its literally a meal in a tub just nuke and eat
On the downside I have spent money I shouldn't of and now need to really crunch some numbers to be able to pay my big credit card bill! Still it has just come in and I am thinking I can pay an amount each week until the due date to get back on top.
I will be so pleased when everything is paid and I am back on the up.

Excited I have saved 1 20p 1 50p and £1.15 in loose change today but more excitingly I have been given a mini plastic greenhouse from a kind freecycler and I collect it in the morning.
I am so pleased as things on my to buy list were a plastic greenhouse, a bean frame, a coldframe and a tomato plastic greenhouse thing. So far freecycle has provided the first 2 items for the cost of fuel to collect
Now once these winds die down I might actually be able to start off my seeds!Debt free by xmas 2014 challenge #114 £230.35/£5840 Roadkill rebel Jan 2014 #79 £0.00 Extra payment a week 2014 £30.14 7/52 50p saver 2014 #?? £14.00 20p saver 2014 #41 £6.80 1% challenge #?? debt 1 1% debt 2 0% Make £50 a month Jan £75.00 Xmas fund 2014 £70.99 Loose change pot £15.45
