Okay... home organisation.... we bought some plastis hole punched wallets when shopping this evening and I've got a folder ready. Next to do is look up the Moggins Household Manual thread which I've got a link saved somewhere for... Yeeeaaaaaahh
Shortie - could you pass that on if you've got it to hand please? I've just started exploring igoogle and using the calendar. I'm also sharing it with friends who can book themselves in so I can't hide (not sure which end of the manic depression scale it hits, but I have a fear it is both ends!!). Home organisation is next on the hit list. Even typing this has made me realise I'm too far up the scale: I have no idea what my original list was and am 'far too busy' to look for it to remind me: also it won't count now because I'm bound to have missed things off - again, I KNOW it isn't the point of this, but that is what this stupid brain of mine is trying to tell me.Is it home time yet?0 -

Hoping i can join late
there are 18 weeks left from tomorrow, i only have 3 fairly simple aims but they are the most important to me
Lose at least 20lb
Im being realistic as im still fully breastfeeding my young baby and will be for the majority of the challenge.have lost 5lb in the last 3 weeks (putting me shamefully at 15st8) and joined a gym on friday which is £6.50 a week and allows me entry to all the cities swimming pools as well so the plan is- eat more fruit and veg, upping it to every meal and 5 a day at least
- go to the gym every morning
- take kids swimming at least once a week preferably twice
- hit 10,000 steps a day 5 days out of 7 every week by the end
Current balance is £700 and i would expect to have it payed off and be a good way to paying off dh student overdraft by the end of this challenge so the plan is- budget a buffer of spending money on top of normal outgoings and pay everything else in asap
- save as much of normal outgoings and buffer as possible and pay into card at the end of each pay period
- walk more and do free activities with kids
- avoid trips to town, not at shops cant spend cash (i only use cash, no cards of any description of my own)
I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old and realy use them as an excuse to do less round the house than i should. I hate the state the house is in and i feel thouroughly ashamed of it. so the plan is- follow daily flylady thread on here, post everyday and do all levels
- pick one room per 4 week pay period to concentrate on, declutter, decorate where neccesary and get completely sorted
- establish a serious list of dailies and delegate as much of those as possible to dh while im at the gym

Find a new house - flat coming to end of contract and with baby on the way need a garden
Get sorted - once I'm over my sickness I want to get my life organized as I don't want the baby growing up in the hole I'm currently living in
Eat healthily - again this is a post sickness thing as I can barely eat at all at the moment£4000 challenge
Currently leftover - £3872.150 -
I've only gone and enrolled on my OU course!!!! :j
I start in September  and I'm really really excited!
How's everyone else doing?
(It's the only thing I've done on my list, but I'm concentrating on the positive :rotfl:)"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

1 Lose weight, find this very hard, even not being a junk food eater, have to have a very low calorie intake just to stay stable. More exercise could be the answer, but been effected by leg/foot problems recently which limit this. Hopefuly will get more organised with DH to go for a walk daily. Goal 2 stone, but would be happy with one.
2 Work out how to manage on the equivalent of one small/average wage from two very good ones. My budget tells me we can, but just have to work out how too. Need a totally different to wants/needs!
3 Create a store cupboard/freezer/fridge list. Have a second freezer in the garage, and feel this will become obsolete as we can now shop more regularly and have food fresh not frozen. The use up here will help us with the above initially.
4 Work out how to split to chores between us. DH is very good around the house (better than I am really) but we need to organise a routine and agree the split (75-25 him/me) Not being awful here, but I have all sorts of jobs/tasks/hobbies which I can spend my time on and DH does not and I need to keep him busy. While he won't starve, I intend to show him how to cook more things, you never know what is going to happen and it would not be bad that he can cook well for himself. DH does not get involved with the budgetting at all, so I need to ensure he knows how and what I do with the pennies too.
5 Work out meal plans, not my strong point at all, and cook everything from scratch. Almost there on the ingredients for main meals, but need to get back into baking too. (Had beans on toast with a poached egg tonight, does toasting the bread qualify??)
6 De-clutter big style! A bit of a hoarder here, but hate throwing away anythign which might come in. Need to look harder, start ebaying, and get some more book on Amazon.
1 - Err - better get on the scales and find out my starting point
2 - Well not too bad here, using things up so only had a £20 spend on food today.
3 - Not started:o still organising financial matters, nearly there though.
4 - So far so good, I'm the cook and ironer, we'll see how it goes.:A
5 - Cooking from scratch, and using up the freezer a lot, may have to have some of the old ready meals to use up the freezer totally.;)
6 -First two items on e-bay today, one with 2 watchers:T. Also freecycled some shoes and pc speakers, so baby steps but at least trying. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Marks out of 10??? I'll let you decide.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Can I bump this thread please?
Hoping that the lack of posts means we're all working hard at our challenges and not (like me) hoping it'll go away!
I'm not going to re-post my 5 aims but..
Meal planning going surprisingly well :j
Overdraft not budging:mad:
Night time routines sporadic. Room for improvment to avoid morning chaos.:o
Flyladying good with plenty of kicks up the backside from the gang on there.:A
Smoking reduced by 3 a day since I started the challenge.

I am in too
Grab the Grocery Challenge by the horns and actually reduce my £350 allocated budget and put any savings into a separate account.
Get healthy - eat more fruit & veg (although not too bad on the veg front) and drink more water. Plus schedule in some regular exercise. Hoping this will help shed a few inches too!
Again make an effort in my appearance. Have started with a new cleansing wash and it seems to have made my skin errupt but hoping its all the !!!! coming out of my pores and will result in a glowing complextion over the next few weeks.
Need to sort out my PMT issues (or is it PMS - whats is the difference??) I hate myself the week before I come on, I am horrible to the kids and seem to shout for the whole week. Not sure what to do about it but something MUST be done.
Driving lessons, I am 35 and cannot drive (have always made the excuse the money could be better spent). Am now facing my demons and have my first lesson booked for 10th July.
Look into and cost doing a book-keeping course. Get in touch with temping agency to see what qualifications employers look for.
Thats all I can think of for the moment (like thats not enough to cope with - lol). Watch this space, now where is the facepack??
Quick update:
Grocery challenge - opps but still trying and not going over:o
Get healthy - Increased water and F & V intake. Unfortunately have increase amount of baking too - but 5 pounds lost this week:j
Appearance - I wore full on slap to work this weekend - 2 days on the trot. Have been doing the face masks etc so will continue. Just bought some new foundation, powder and mascara too:D
PMT - Have started taking the vitamins and last month was ok not the usual nut job I usually am so will watch this space.
Driving lessons - On going but really enjoying them:D
Book-keeping course - Put on hold due to driving stuff. Am thinking of doing an evening class GCSE, would love to do A-level history but will have to see what options the local high school come up with (probably trampolining or cake decorating:rolleyes: )
Small steps me thinks but they are in the right direction:D :j0
