Weighed in today...Im 13st 10 :eek:0 -
I love this idea! :j Thanks Bamby
Right, my goals are as follows:
1. Improve my knowledge of aspects of my course I am weak on.
I am going into my final year at uni in September and I have my heart set on doing my Masters afterwards.. I want to have the best possible chance of getting to achieve this and so want my grades to be as good as possible next year. I intend to learn as much as possible about the areas where my knowledge is patchy, in order to stop these 'patchy areas' ruining my grades!
2. Spend more time with DS
At the moment, I work three days a week, and the time we have had together on my days off and weekends have been fantastic, we have had so much fun!! From here on in, I pledge to set at least 2 hours a day aside when he gets my full attention - I have realised that it is too important to put to one side!
3. Make sure I stick to meal plans
Ok guys, I admit it, I'm great at writing one every Saturday.. everything goes well for the first few days, then I look midweek to see what we're due to have for tea that night (tonight was supposed to be potato hash, but we're having pizza after a last minute appeal by OH). In future, I will stick to my meal plans, regardless of how much I get asked for something different.
4. Make more effort with self
I could never be described as the most vain person in the world. More often than not I can't be bothered to style my hair in the morning, so it ends up with a brush and being put up in a bobble. I know if I took that extra half hour, I would feel much better about my appearance and therefore my self esteem would improve so I am going to get up for work an extra half n hour early to allow myself the time to get ready (rather than it being the rush it is now!)
5. Spend ten minutes cleaning in every room of the house every day
I am one of these people who never has a totally clean home. Maybe its due to the fact I have a 2 yr old, work three days a week and am doing a full time degree..... Nah, I'll be honest, it's cos I am lazyI know 10 mins a day in each room won't kill me and from here on in, I will definately put that time aside
6. Stick to my budget
I need to do this one - things are always tight over summer, this year, thanks to some unexpected expenditure, things are going to be tighter than ever!
7. Earn money on ebay
I have so much clutter lying around, I bet I'm sat on a fortuneWe moved house last year and STILL in our bedroom there is a huge box full of CD's we have not even unpacked... The decision is made, they are all going on ebay (5 a day should take about a month to list them all  ). Given that that box is only the start of all the things I could think of to list, I should do well with this one, it has two benefits as it will help ease the pressure of no. 6 above, and also should help with No. 5 as my home will be less cluttered.
Thats about it for me, ooh I feel all excited now, this might be the kick up the rear end I've been needing!!
Good luck all,
Sarah xx0 -

Hi Bambywamby and all the other challengers :hello:
Im going to bow out of this one as I am already in the 'change your life in 101 days' and the second 'Olympic Challenge' from DFW but wish you all the best with your individual challenges.GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Lol Simba, you're not the only one - have had the day from hell here!!
Lets see, so my goal failures (and small victories) of the day are as follows:
1. Have read a few chapters of a book that has been recommended by my tutor (borrowed from library of course lol), should help me with forthcoming dissertation. So not bad on this one!
2. DS been at creche all day so he was tired by time he got home - tomorrow'll be better for this one.
3. Not had tea yet - will make jacket pots as per meal plan so yay!
4. Have done hair and make up today - so this ones complete lol
5. Have cleaned bit of kitchen and front room... nowhere else tho
6. This is where things have gone a bit wrong today.. I lost my job  Boss asked me a few weeks ago to go full time (was working 3 days a week), I said I couldn't and he told me today he has found someone to go full time for him and I am no longer needed. Luckily, I was thinking of starting a Kleeneze business, so have called my sponsor today and taken the plunge, I should be up and running by Monday at latest
7. Have just finished listing 20 CD's on ebay - thought I'd better up the income in the meantime...
So not a great first day on the challenge for me, things have to get better tomorrow...... right?? :rotfl:

Good luck with the Kleeneze jovichick
So far, today have only eaten a weeny bit of chocolate, made a HM mousaka with quorn - low fat, spoiled that a bit by having a big dollup of marscapone on my strawberries.
Decluttering - chucked out some old manky cushions that were lurking behind the couch
As for studying... ahemm..Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
I'm hoping this will help me 'even' external things out, which might just help me even my brain out as well!
So, my 5 priorities are
1. Actually DO flylady, rather than intend to do flylady, plus the 10 minutes in each room idea, plus write down a definitive list of dailies.
2. Budget - I spend so much effort 'saving' money - but I have no real idea how much I have as a disposable baseline, and end up spending twice as much as I should (I think!). So - 10 minutes a day doing the MSE spreadsheet should help sort that out without letting #1 suffer. My worst habit is spending 100% of my time on one tiny thing, so that everything else goes to pot, and then I have to transfer my energies to one of the many things that have gone to pot, so then whatever I had spent all my time on then goes to pot, and so on and so on and so on....
3. Excercise - I know it would do the body good (and boy does it need it!), the darling dog deserves it and it would help with my mental state, so somehow I need to factor in at least a half-hour brisk walk every day. I also live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country imaginable, so it is a crime not to make the most of it.
4. Take time to put on at least a bit of tinted moisturiser and lippy - I owe it to myself not to be a frumpy frazzled Mummy, and that would help my self-esteem on the low days too (although I certainly don't need any help in that area on the high days!!)
5. Have a decent book available to read - again, just because I'm an at-home Mummy doesn't mean that the critical, analytical and quite switched on part of my brain has to die.
Golly - this is very invigorating!! Here we go...Is it home time yet?0 -
I am in too
Grab the Grocery Challenge by the horns and actually reduce my £350 allocated budget and put any savings into a separate account.
Get healthy - eat more fruit & veg (although not too bad on the veg front) and drink more water. Plus schedule in some regular exercise. Hoping this will help shed a few inches too!
Again make an effort in my appearance. Have started with a new cleansing wash and it seems to have made my skin errupt but hoping its all the !!!!!! coming out of my pores and will result in a glowing complextion over the next few weeks.
Need to sort out my PMT issues (or is it PMS - whats is the difference??) I hate myself the week before I come on, I am horrible to the kids and seem to shout for the whole week. Not sure what to do about it but something MUST be done.
Driving lessons, I am 35 and cannot drive (have always made the excuse the money could be better spent). Am now facing my demons and have my first lesson booked for 10th July.
Look into and cost doing a book-keeping course. Get in touch with temping agency to see what qualifications employers look for.
Thats all I can think of for the moment (like thats not enough to cope with - lol). Watch this space, now where is the facepack??0 -
hi not been on for a while and this looked like a good challanage to do plus with it ending just before christmas its some thing to aim for!
What i would like to achive is
1.only buy a take a way once a week
2.meal plan while doing on line shop
3.do fly lady daily level 1&2
4.spend time each day doing some thing i like rather than house work even if only for an half hour.
5.drink more water and eat some fruit daily.
6.get kids to do more to help in the house
this should be achiveable if i can get myself sorted

Hello, I'm in too. Looking at my list I realise it's really about organisation for me, but here goes the breakdown. Baring in mind I'm due to have a baby end of August, some are 'goals' as such, but more "watch it doesn't get out of control"s
1) Appearance - inspired by Jovichick, I realise I usually feel awful in work. I'm in the city of London and everyone's very beautiful and appearance concious, except me! I've never been a make up wearer and my ironing board straight haor means it just bundles into a hair band. Time for a change me thinks. Getting out fo bed an extra 5mins earlier means I can put on my foundation and a lip gloss. Not really an eye shadow lover for the day time, or mascara as I wear contacts and rub my eyes more often than the norm so it doesn't last very long, lol... but foundation, lip gloss and hair down / twisted up / bun will be a fab start and confidence boost
2) Organised Household - I NEEEED to get on top of the housework. I feel I never have the time to tackle it but don't know where to start as it'sso messy - it's a viscious circle. I plan to get back onto the FlyLady thread and work my way into a routine with it
3) Control Weight - I'm having a baby so can't make a conscious effort to lose weight, but I'm not going up the 3 dress sizes I did with my first  . I simply refuse. Also, between end of Aug and end of the challenge (2 months-ish) I'm hoping to see weight change in the right direction
4) Finish little jobs in house - we NEVER EVER seem to finish what we start. Like now... we redid our bathroom back in March and we still need to paint the door frame and ceiling and we have no side panel to the bath. Oh, and there's no corner unit in the bath so all the bottles float around the bathroom. That kind of this... silly little jobs that spoil the look of the room until they're done
5) Declutter - OH and I are messy hoarders, always have been and I suspect always will be. I need to be brutal and start on my little boy's toys etc, then move up to the junk we have in the loft. I want a clutter free house!!!!!!!!!!
