why put it indefinely if they can reasses you at any time what does indefinely mean why is there no renewal date so would u get indefinely award between now and after october 2015 someone break it down for me so i can understand

They can randomly reassess you at any time, but your award means it is likely that it remains the same until some point after October 2015, when they intend to start the migration from DLA to PIP (although I believe the date may be later later than that, as PIP is already back logged and delayed).

At some point, you will be invited to apply for PIP, and it will be treated as a new claim. You may have to go for a medical exam, although some won't have to.

There are no indefinite awards with PIP, the longest award I have heard about is 10 years. But they seem to be averaging about 3 years.

If you have a DLA award wich runs out in April 2015 - living in a "L" postcode will you be invited to apply for PIP ??

Assuming one does, whilst you are waiting do you still get your DLA money till you get a new decision due to the massive backlog.

If that is not the case is it just a straight DLA renewal ??? Thanks

no one rally knows where the roll out will have got to by next april, as they keep changing their minds.
any DLA award will still be paid until a PIP decision is made

    Indefinite means literally 'not definite'.
The award is until they decide to end it.
This can be based on a periodic review of your sort of case, or because someone threw a dart and it stuck in your name.

It absolutely does not mean 'forever'.

Hi, I am receiving D.L.A for my D.D which expires in October 2014.With previous renewals I have usually heard in May of the same year it expires, however ,I still haven't received a renewal pack.
Should I contact them as I don't want the risk of October arriving and my pack not even been sent and then the risk of no payments?
    Thank you.

    You absolutely must contact them.
It can be lost in the post, and if it is, and you need to reapply, there will be a gap.
If your DD is >16, I'd advise just asking if you have been sent a renewal form - rather than raising any changes in condition if you are in an area where a change of circumstances may mean PIP.
