0/16 at the moment
After a whole month off I enjoyed going out for a few/many beers last night and a curry. I didn't enjoy waking up this morning with the first hangover for a month.
Went out for a few more beers this afternoon but that's me done until next weekend.0 -
1 AFD for February please. Horrid hangover today, so poor DH had to do most of the driving tonight, as we came home from our weekend with family. In bed now, night night all. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

1 please, Shaggy, ta0

My apologies for not being around over the last week, I've barely turned my laptop on once I've got in from work.
I've worked a fair few evenings over the last 10 days, I normally buy a bottle of red on the way home to help me "relax". I haven't drunk this month after any evening meetings:j .
I finished January on 24/31, big blip last weekend which spilled into the week, at one stage I had drunk wine for 5/7 days. I am setting my target for February as 22 - 4 Saturdays and 2 odd days during half term when I have a week off.
I have enjoyed my alcohol free nights and I think the family have appreciated them. I just wish there were more of them. I haven't lost as much weight as I anticipated I only lost 5lb in the whole of January, I have been eating more sweet stuff, on the premise that I have more calories to spare as I'm not drinking. That's another battle though and not serious health wise as drinking.
Congrats hats off to everyone who completed the dryathon, you should all be very proud of yourselves, as should we all though for even trying.
I'm off to bed, I have a sticky keyboard and it's doing my head in!

Good morning everyone
Congratulations to all those who managed 31/31 - you are amazing :j
Well I had a great, great few days away. I had my glasses (bottles) of wine interspersed with soda water or soda water and lime BUT after 4 evenings of solid drinking even I was thinking 'oh my word what is this all about?'Did I enjoy it - I have to admit I did have a great time and enjoyed the wine
too much!!
I was working last night until 10pm and after being with people from Wednesday I just couldnt wait to get home to close the door, pull on my pjs and sip a glass of red wine (this is definitely my preferred time for wine - so my first goal to work on STOP DRINKING ALONE). That gave me 5 nights straight drinkingHabit or what?? Ahhhhh!!
So now waiting on the come downHopefully it wont be too bad

I've been avoiding this thread all weekend. I went to the pub on Friday night, had a couple of pints. Not so bad, but then when I came home I drank half a bottle of port. Not my finest moment. So January was 30/31.
On the positive side, I stayed AF on Saturday and Sunday. Usually a hangover doesn't impact on my drinking the next day at all, I'll get right back on that horse. But this weekend I really didn't want to do that.
So, 2/20 please Shaggy0 -

Hi
Please put me down as 1/14 please Shaggy. Yet another thing that impresses me on this thread is all the people declaring so early in the day! I don't intend to drink tonight, but I'm not confident enough to declare it!
Well done to you all!
