9 please, Shaggy, ta
Really not doing very well nowadays. I know that this is reaction to the 'freedom' since all 3 daughters left for university, this thread helped me to keep my non-AFD's down to a minimum while they were all here all the time, but they have been creeping up, and each month I am having too many units and too many non-AFD's. So, here goes, big effort now to get my 20 this month. :j0 -
Morning :hello:
2 more AFDs. One for Thursday, 1 for yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Same here.:o
I know (from recycling;)) that I haven't been drinking to excess but seem to have very few completely AF days this month. It's all about odd glasses when I'm out I think and I seem to have been out an awful lot.
Definitely AF tonight though.
4 AFDs please Shaggy (and hope you had a good break:)).0 -
5/21 please shaggy. Unfortunately failed with smoking... it was so very hard to kick both at the same time but hey ho, managed 4 days.Still no beer woooo!
Keep cutting down.
The last ciggy I ever had was actually about 7 months after the preceding one. In my last few years of smoking I would just smoke occasionally. I would buy a pack of 10 cigarettes - smoke 1 - and throw the rest away. If you have to pay £4 to £5 for 1 cigarette you will soon stop! What do we do when we fall? Calling in early with 6/12 AFDs for tonight. Didn't manage any over the weekend, although Friday was just 1 glass and Saturday 2 glasses. Last night however.... let's just say I tidied up so there are no open bottles to tempt me through this week.
Sad news late evening yesterday that my MIL (ex's mum) died. I'm relieved that it was a peaceful passing, and that both my sons, plus many of her children, were able to visit her during her last two days. She was 96, and had lived a full life, with lots of happiness and lots to endure. She was a Land Girl for a short while, which she loved, until she was unhappily made to return home on her mother's early death in order to look after her father and younger siblings. I've got lots of very fond memories of her, and so do all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Not even a sympathetic hug from mizog husband.
In other news, I'm writing fundraising letters atm, so that's keeping me busy. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
