I have tried this route before but found it a very fine line between drinking alcohol free lager and the real stuff. It seems a very small jump to go back to the alcoholic stuff.
As you say Ginger beer is the way to go

Calling in early with 4/23
I have shl0er on hand should the need arise. I think it is about a year out of date (kept meaning to use it in place of wine) but am sure it is ok
If I can manage a whole SNC I will be delighted as it will be the first I have completed
I have a poorly friend who is unable to drink due to medication so I am going to try to keep him in mind when I feel like caving in.
(no cigs here either as the two go hand in hand for me :j )0 -
Hi everyone :hello:,
Here comes another one .......... can I re-join please????????
I used to post fairly regularly but then RL got in the way for a while - too much going on . I have been lurking recently and figure I need to 'put-up-or-shut-up' as the saying goes
Shaggy, could you please put me down for 12 AFD's this month - I completed my first one for January last night and am declaring early for tonight too - so that makes 2/12.
Good to be back :j0 -
Wow, this thread got busy!
6/19 please Shaggy.
A bit early but I know I won't be drinking tonight.0 -
5/28 AFDs today :-)0

I guessed that the thread would get busy again this month with some familiar faces from last Dry January. That's where I started and have managed to, more or less, stick to SNC apart from holidays.
Can I be put down for 6/31 for tonight please? OH is also doing Dry Jan but can't see him lasting the month if I'm honest.0 -
6//31 for today please.
Look after yourself, mummy and stay well:)
Just wondered - those of you who've been AF for a while, have you noticed an upturn in energy levels or wellbeing at all? I've been feeling rotten today, and whilst I don't expect miracles, it would be great to at least feel a bit less lethargic!!
Have a good evening everyone x0 -

I'm finding tonight very difficult, it would be so easy to go out and get a bottle of wine. Fortunately the weather is foul so that's not going to happen and I'm going to declare on 5/30.
I have really hit the chocolate today, a picnic, milky way and 3 quality street, as well as a can of coke! I haven't had any chocolate for ages, even over Christmas - preferred to waste my empty calories on wine!
I'm having terrible sleeping problems, going to bed and not dropping off for hours, my fitbit sleep monitor is ablaze with colours showing my wandering around the house like a modern day Mrs Rochester.
Have a good evening all, I'm hoping for a better sleep tonight
