Happy New Year Everyone!!! Another lost sheep returning to the fold, I haven't posted for ages but I have been OK with my alcohol consumption. only OK though, December and all the run up to Christmas is a bit of a nightmare to keep days AF, so now that it's a new month I am going to refocus a bit.
I'm going to go for 25 days AF please Shaggy this month, my waistline, wallet and general health will appreciate it I think.Trying to keep in budget.

Welcome back Fruball and Gien!
2/19 for me please Shaggy.
Had the nicest New Year's Day I think I've ever had. Spent it with family - at my step daughter's and we had such a laugh. I was crying with laughter at one point. I realised it's a long time since I've done that and it felt good!
All that and not one drop of alcohol! Although they had wine in the fridge, none of us bothered and I really didn't miss it at all. Again, it made me think about why we do it. Alcohol wouldn't have added anything, in fact it would probably have taken it away as I'm sure it would have made me feel tired and groggy.
I still don't think I want to give up drinking completely but I have definitely had a real epiphany since October when I had my dry month. I hope to carry on in that vein in 2015! :cool:0 -
On a night out tonight but decided to drive to save money 2/28 AFDs today0

Happy New Year Everyone!!! Another lost sheep returning to the fold.
Good to see you gien.
My consumption is really down at the moment. I know I don't clock up too many AF days but when I do drink it's getting less and less. I bought a few cases of wine in early December/late November when Sainsbury's had 25% off and I can't believe how much is still left.:money:
My worry is that it's because I still have a head full of catarrh which is fuzzy enough without wine.:o0 -
Declaring early again 3/31 please - had a lovely day with the family today, and like Maman says, you realise on days like this that you don't need Alcohol when you've got good company:) - hopefully I can keep this up!0

hi all  Happy New Year
Back for my regular early in the year detox goal. Great to see you all still doing so well I wish I could claim the same
Slipped back into some bad habits last year and need to address those so as others have said this thread is part of my motivation to keep going.
Not going for the biggy of dry January as I have a couple of big events that I want to be able to drink at so I am going to start quite small compared to everyone else and go for 10 please shaggy. Bigger goal for me would be to carry on beyond February this time.0 -

Good to see you again. I go for 10 every month on a meet it or beat it basis. Some months with holidays and events it's close, others I can get to 15 or 16. I find it's good to have at least that number of AF days regularly and it's lowered my tolerance so I drink less on drinking days too. Good Luck.:)0
