    31 days up for grabs!

    Everyone Welcome!!!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Well, I did another day! Yay! And although I was still pretty tired this morning, I did feel better than I normally do, i.e. a tad hungover. And also quite proud of myself. It really is not necessary to drink every night. I got in from work and poured myself fizzy water and lime and my mum didn't have anything either. We are quite bad at egging each other "Bottle of wine mum?" "Ooh, go on then!" etc. etc.

Think I will find tonight hard as I find myself wandering around the house or just tucking myself up in bed once the girls have gone, in order to keep myself from the kitchen.

So I am still on track at 2/7

Been away on holiday, so slipped a bit, 14/23 AFDs after yesterday :(

I think that's allowed.;) Hope you had a good time.

I think it's quite normal to feel like that. I certainly did when drinking has become an end in itself. I drank masses and masses of water as I had to have a glass in my hand but it does pass I promise. And the later it gets in the evening the more determined I was not to 'waste' an AF day. Nothing wrong with early nights. You don't have to go to sleep until you're ready. You could read. Just do whatever it takes and you'll feel proud you've achieved it afterwards.

I followed my plan. Went out to lunch and had fizzy water.:D

    11 AFDs please Shaggy.

I don't think I'll be having any more this month so I'd like to say a great big thank you to Shaggy.:A

The chart really helps. Thanks for filling in my target for December too. I might just scrape it if no more weeknight invitations crop up.

    26/30 please, Shaggy.

We had a meal deal at the local arts centre tonight after watching Mr Turner, and the bar there is tiny, so no AF beer. I'm not sure why I need to have anything to drink with food any more, so I decided to have a hot chocolate, which was more like a dessert for me - and I had it after fish and chips (excellent). I now can't quite understand why I drank so much for so long, but there you go, I don't any more, and that's a good thing.

I still find myself thinking, well, I probably won't remember to do insert whatever after we come home so I'd best leave myself a note - because I never used to remember to do anything after a night out. And then I remember I don't drink and know I won't be three sheets to the wind, so I will remember whatever and I don't have to write myself a note. I do anyway, just in case, but at that moment of remembering I don't drink any more, all I can feel is relief. Huge relief.
    Better is good enough.
  • 12 AF please shaggy

Not AF tonight tho as after 2 nights of terrible sleep I've succumbed to a large vino in the hope that I get better night sleep. Fingers crossed
It’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts
  • So another one takes me up to the dizzy heights of 3/7 please Shaggy.
I slept better last night but feel more achey today. Sleep well Mackeroo and everyone else.
