Thanks for all your words of support, they do really help.

Yes, Chardonnay, the getting out for a run helps - it's the easiest time to park the inner arguments. Good luck with your house move, you'll get plenty of exercise shifting your belongings.

Calling in early for the last day of October with 19/20 AFDs we are going to a music benefit for throat/neck cancer tonight and I'm driving as I don't fancy the long walk to and from the train stations at both ends.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    Debt-free and Proud!
    22 for tonight.

Target for November: 21 again, please.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • Thanks all for the good wishes :) I did have two small glasses of wine in the pub last night and have to admit I did enjoy them! So I finish the month on 30/31 please Shaggy.

I'm sorry your AF October hasn't helped you feel better Chardonnay. Is it wrong to ask how much more difficult it might have been to cope with a few hangovers tossed into the mix? Happy key ceremony!

Not wrong at all HB! I agree it would have been much harder to deal with all the stress of moving if I'd been drinking! I think what I was trying to say is that because we've had so much on with moving house, I haven't felt the benefit as much as I would have liked. I wanted to get out running more than I did but just had too much on. I'm really glad I did it though and would definitely do it again - maybe when I have a quieter month next time!

Well done on another AF month HB, you're on fire! :T

    13/13please Shaggy. :j

Right, after much deliberation about Novembers target I have decided to try for the whole month.

    November target - 30

Well done everyone on your achievements this month and here's to another successful month.

It will be strange today as I'm going in to town to do some shopping, normally a lunch with a couple of vinos would be included in this. On the one hand I will miss it but on the other it will be good to not get home and have the urge for a couple of hours sleep. I have a Costa voucher so will just treat myself to a nice coffee and a slice of cake instead.

    Have a great Saturday everyone.

Yea its November and I'm going to the pub.
    31/31for me please Shaggy.

I never thought I would do the sober October challenge and am now feeling very proud. We are heading out later this afternoon for a drink or two. I' m not a giver upper but hope this will help me re think my relationship with alcohol.

Well done to everyone with your achievements.
Good luck house moves, doctors, partners, parents and November everyone.

PS I found the Irish Coffee flavoured Coffee I mentioned, its very nice and does taste like it should, would it substitute the real thing? Hmmmm not sure but worth a try. On offer in S's at £2 for a very small jar so not cheap.

Hugely well done on the whole of October, Aunty Cat. I knew someone had said the Irish Coffee flavoured coffee was available, but I couldn't find the post, so I couldn't ask. Is it a Sainsbobs own brand, or made by someone else? I'd dearly love to try it!

I think it must be the Beanie one but I see there's a Nescafe one as well.

    1/30 please Shaggy.

Up early this morning but still feel tired, I think it's time for another coffee.
