So if it's ok I'd like to rejoin...with 4 AFD for Oct (I've 1 under my belt already). I really want to cut out School night drinking and just be able to have 1 or 2 at a weekend.
Can I please set a target for 20 for November Shaggy. You're on the lists!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Shaggyx
Yummy a coffee - thank you me dear! Happy Wednesday to all of you too.
Shagster I'm on 27
I'd like to say its been an easy month but it hasn't. Funny when you pick up the habit of drinking again, its so easy to get use to it.
Anyone had any luck taking vitamins? I'm reading lots about how alcohol depletes you of vits but not sure what to take.
Have a great day folks hope you're all well?.
Well done 365 - 5 years wowser! Now how time really flies in, well done! xxxx

10/13 please Shaggy.
Hope everyone has a great day.0 -
no more days to report here. Welcome back Mari and Mackeroo, congrats to 365 days and best wishes for a speedy recovery. lovely to hear how you're doing. Maman hope you enjoyed being a pumpkin and well done Alex - hope your preemptive post worked.
Honey Bear your Irish coffee question was interesting. Difficult to tell if it's a sneaky way for our brains to get some booze or just a delish treat. I always associate Irish Coffee with the end of a great meal.0 -
PS obviously I know nothing about this alcohol free thing so just some thoughts to help.
PPS I googled alcohol free whisky and it exists - never tried it and surprised it exists! https://www.arkay.co.uk0 -
Good morning all and thanks for the welcome backs!
So last night was not the hoped for AF one as DP took me out as a surprise :-) but instead of drinking and not stopping I had a glass of wine the stopped which is definitely a step forward!
Have a great day everyone,
Mari xx0 -
Wanna be free: Yes, the post worked. My downfall seems to be having wine with dinner, finishing the bottle then going onto spirits. As my wife isn't too concerned about wine with dinner, we've stopped having it in the house unless decided prior to the evening meal.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000
