    Hi 15/31.

Really enjoyed watching The Apprentice last night. Is it just me or do others get frustrated watching the contestants? :D

For me, watching it a few series ago was life-changing. The overblown self-confidence was the thing that blew me away - most of them had zero reason to be confident and yet they were so full of themselves. It suddently occured to me that I had no confidence but there were things I'd done and things I'd achieved that if I heard of anyone else who'd done and achieved them, I'd regard them worthy of respect. That tiny moment, faced week after week after week with their totally misplaced self-belief was the beginning of me turning my life around. And, although I have a reason to think LordS is a ****, I admire his forensic analytical skills - and to understand how precise his abilities are, I need to watch the contestants show themselves in all their technicolour glory. Having said that, I can't watch it any more because it's just the same old same old every year now.

By the way, the the only thing LordS values is the sales figures - it's all about the bottom line. Everything else is just window dressing.
    Better is good enough.

    Evening

Thank you for welcoming me back Maman! I don't even quite know what happened. For 18 months I stayed strong and limited my drinking to occasions rather than having dinner with my other half indoors - which we do every night anyway - and then call that an occasion too! Drinking every day became the norm again and crate loads of expensive wine has been turning up at the door every month (up market !!!!heads!).

Anyway, I am fit and healthy and being prompted by my PT to cut out the booze for a while.

Drumming my fingers & then pacing but calling in 2 AF for tonight!

    Have a good night all.

Oh I've been there stu and so easy to fall back into the 'every night is an occasion' mindset. Well done on resisting tonight.:T

Went out for lunch today and had a glass. Bottle cooling in the fridge for me to carry on tonight but it's still there unopened. Pleased with that.:) Lunch out with friends may be classed as an 'occasion', sitting on the sofa watching tv isn't! (well not on a school night) ;)
  • 16/31 please.

I have an 'occasion' tonight but its 20 miles away so will be the designated driver again. Also, I have to be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to take middle son to a football game 70 miles away. That should keep the wolf at bay.

    Have a great Friday everyone!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
