Just popping in to say thanks folks for your good wishes. I'll keep trying. Maybe next month will be better. The nights will be lighter and that's always good.

Hello and welcome back Lamarsi

Sorry, I cant do the red type thing, sure someone will be along to tell me how to shortly, got the red on, couldnt get it off again

Anyway, thats 10/20 alcohol free days so far. Im sitting with a drink called chillax, which was 15p from home bargains. Apple juice, elderflower and some B vitamins (oh yes).

Not going to make target, but had a couple of evenings where I had a hot toddy (2 units each time), to try and help the lurgy, didnt help a bit, did a thump boxing class on Sunday morning, total stupidity, felt ok until 10 mins to go then I thought Im going to have to tell the instructor (who works us really hard), that Im not going to make the last 10 mins without keeling over. But I did and am almost lurgy free.

I'll have a think about Aprils target, got a couple of nights out and a weekend away but alcohol isnt essential to make those nights go well.

Am training for a triathlon so I'll probably try and up my AFD's and put some real effort in and maybe have a drink after Ive done it (might just be a becks blue but that is good enough).

I think one positive thing for me is that I no longer go supermarket shopping and have to buy something alcoholic to put in my trolley. Even if it was just one unit, it would still always be there, like a security blanket, that I hopefully dont need anymore.

And so far havent delved face first into pies either. I struggle with food as well, but thats almost 10 months of clean eating and hard training, which is 10 months more than Ive done for quite some time.

I'm going away on holiday on Friday until the 8th April, so will set an April target of a conservative 20 AFDs, but hope to beat that.

Nope, not AF tonight, sorry folks. Excuses, excuses, I'm not going to post any excuses
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Double figures for me please Shaggy with 10/14 tonight. Please can I have a target of 14 for April, ta!

I am planning 3 more in a row including Friday and then only 1 more to find on Sunday or Monday. Old me wouldn't be thinking like this but would already have given up on the month. I am playing catch up but hopefully will make it.

Satchmo, you don't owe us reasons and ruby please don't go. If I've disappeared embarrassed before I have found out that it doesn't solve itself and for me not being on here isn't enough to make a difference. So tired I hope that makes sense.

    Sleep well everyone.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I'm starting to realise that I have a real problem with the way i drink and need to get out of this horrid habit :(

Welcome back - I'll stick you on TF for the March challenge. Hope that's ok.
