So glad your cat came home safety SukeyBoo.
I'm glad that those who find themselves not posting when things aren't going as well as people want them to have come out of the woodwork. Honestly, in my drinking days if I had one day a month without a glass of wine I was doing well. It's only now that I realise that if I'd posted then I'd probably have had the impetus to cut that down to one day a week. It would still have been only about four or five days a month at most, but that would have been do-able if I'd held myself accountable.
28/30 please, Shaggy. Oooooh ... Come in Smiley number four!Better is good enough.0 -
So pleased you cat is home Sukeyboo.
I'm not AF today or yesterday - But both days just one glass which is at least on the right direction. So happy with that.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

3/8 please. So nowhere near target but I am very pleased to be achieving any AFDs at the moment. No more this month, out at friends and away on holiday on Saturday. I will be drinking wine on holiday but will try to keep to low AFDs and see if I can do any AF days. I may be able to get wifi so will try. In the meantime hope everyone keeps well and achieves what they want.0

Morning all,
Forgot to say when I posted yesterday that I was on 10/12 for Tuesday. I did have that celebratory glass (or two;)) of wine last night but will be back on it tonight so will finish June on 11/12 as I know I will be drinking on Friday evening.
Thanks for the yearly totals Shaggy - I need to up my game a bit if I am going to reach mine :eek:0 -

Great news about the kitty Sukeyboo. We feed 14 feral cats every day and I always worry when one of them doesn't appear, so attached even though they aren't pets.
5/5 AF last night, almost fell into drinking last night, but ate everything in sight instead. Wasn't hungry at all but it somehow took the edge of needing a drink. I am sure I consumed 5 times the calories that two glasses of wine would have been though.
I can't seem to get icons to work anymore, I just get the text, is anyone else having this problem? I wanted to put an embarrassed face in :-)0 -
Have been absolutely useless this month, ho hum.
Wouldn't say I am spiralling out of control, but slowly sliding.
However, have had two af days this week, but only a total of 5 for the month. God, that sounds bad.
Haven't thought July or August through yet. Summer holidays are usually the worst for me when my girls go away on holiday with their dad and I am at a loss as to what to do without them (and yes, I appreciate how lame that sounds).Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Ok I'm going to jump in here. Sounds like you know you need to put the brakes on but either can't or don't want to. Do you know why your drinking? Habit or boredom of being a single parents and being in night after night.
I know how you feel and I have to be very careful not to slide into daily drinking. Do you work? I find if I drink too much wine on a work day I will pay for it the next day, which puts me off wanting to do it for a while. Can you try to limit yourself to the weekend and 2 days in the week, so getting 3 days AF free. Or lower the ratio if you feel that's not achieveable.
As a single parent myself I have been where you are right now, at times I still dip in and out of it. However our kids need us and we are a better parent if we aren't drinking everyday. Do you want to make the changes yet? Sorry I don't mean to imply your an alcoholic or anything, just that you sound like you want to do better but lack the impetus to do so.
I also find it difficult when my kids are away from me, so can completely relate to you, especially in the holidays. I feel at a loose end and I don't know what to do, except jobs and housework. Oh and read a book and come on here.
