Hey I don't know, Honey Bear - I just seem to have gone off it! It's good, so I'm going with it. I doubt I could have done this even a year ago. If you'd told me five years ago I would have said "no way". Have I mentioned I used to step out with a chap who was a wine writer? His living room floor used to be covered halfway across the room with armies of bottles of wine, hundreds of them. I'm glad the relationship didn't last, I hate to think what state I would be in if it had.0 -

That's really interesting, CathyBird. If you ever figure out what made you go off it that would make pretty interesting reading. If nothing else, do you think just being aware of the effect of it, had something to do with it?
I've got a picture of you ex's legion of bottles in my head now and I can't get it out!
27/30 Shaggy, and 31 for July please.Better is good enough.0 -
Just reading in your posts that I am not the only one who disappears unless they have something positive to report.
So am up to a massive 3/5 AF days now.
Cuppa tea I see how you could see those years as wasted, I am thinking the same about myself for each new month that goes by with too much alcohol. But HB is right, the main thing is to keep going and keep trying. There have been so many years when I haven't even tried to keep things in check. Taking responsibility for my actions and trying is the first step - to what I don't know yet, but it has to be better than languishing in excess and telling myself it's OK, that I will do something about it tomorrow/next week/next year etc.0 -
Morning all, 26/21 for me today.0

Managed one day at least, hoping for 2 more this month and then away for 3 weeks. Pleased with achieving one anyway.0 -
Afternoon :hello:
1 more for yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
