I'm with MaggieM on this - I avoid coming on here until I have something positive to report, which is the reverse of what should happen - I should come on here and be inspired to see how well you guys are doing.

2 more AFDs for Wednesday and Thursday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Just wanted to echo HB post.
I am definately a work in progress. It's not easy. And it's one of those things that is harder than it sounds. On paper no problem, but in reality it is seriously tough. We all have different lives and different pressures and difficulties but I feel very much that we are all a work in progress.
I love reading all the posts from everybody (possibly part driven by natural nosiness) and love reading how people are getting on.
Please do post and keep us updated. Hugs to all. :grouphug:2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

 Antonic! Five and a half years really is quite something. Huge congratulations. It's incredibly heartening to hear that someone has made it through to the other side!
I can understand why people don't post when they don't think they've done particularly well Elusive Lucy, or are struggling with it. However in order to get to new behaviours we need to change something about the old behaviours that have us stuck where we are. (If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.) Post, just post, and see if that makes you feel different. As I said before, we're all struggling here, one way or the other.
I'm not entirely sure I could trust myself not to slip back into old habits if I let go of my 'new' routines even now, and that's at the point of nearly having reached my three year anniversary. I'm still at the 'fingers crossed I'll make it' stage and I don't intend to do anything to jeopardise it. I think I always will be. Posting daily really helps focus my mind on what I've achieved so far, so it's a real positive for me.
You've racked up seven under your belt, so you should be really proud of that - I honestly couldn't manage even one or two a month in my drinking days.
24/30 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
I agree with you HB. Especially in changing old habits. I don't think I e mentioned this but I had anorexia 22 years and bulimia for 20 years. It was one of the factors to my marriage failing. I took a long hard look at myself and changed my habits around eating and health. I realised how much I was holding myself back and how it could damage my children. It's been nearly 5 years now and I can honestly say it's not something I think about anymore. I am ED free. I just wish I hadn't wasted so many years.Live for the moment and plan for the future0
